Thank you so much for posting this playlist. How precious❤. They not only document Pt. Mallikarjun Mansur's Gwalior Gayaki, but also the original strain of Gwalior Gayaki of Neelkanth Buwa that first entered karnataka, which in many ways was one of the first inroads of Hindustani Raag Sangeet into Karnataka. Neelkanth Buwa(himself originally from Karnataka) did have two other prominent disciples who learnt from him at the same time as Mansurji, Pt. Lingaraj Buwa Yaraguppi and Pt. Panchakshari Gawai, however their music has been largely unrecorded/undocumented. So these recordings are so important!🙏🏻♥️ Thank you!

Thanks a lot for the kind words of appreciation, Aniruddh! 🙂 Yes, I am aware that Nilakanthabua Alurmath had a major influence across the Hubbali-Gadag-Dharwad region and it's truly sad that no recordings of any of his other disciples have survived. He must have been a fantastic guru! Atrauli gayaki had also already made inroads into Karnataka at the time... as also Kirana of course. So yeah, the uniqueness of the Dharwad belt continues to be an amazing thing indeed!
