Thank you @muslim harji bhai and guruji (Pt Kashalkar ji) for the divine joy. I have been listening to this recording for the past 7-8 years, and it makes me feel fresh as a daisy every time. Takes me to another state.

@RChakravarti Thanks for the insight, however, both words (taḑap and taras) are present. Vide: "taḑap taḑap jiyaraa tarase"
@RajivChakravarti13 жыл бұрын
@afghanforlife : taras is to "pine for", also could mean "to have pity on".. it is not related to the Farsi verb: tarseedan. The word here, however, is "tarap" (colloquial) or "taRap" --- to languish, to suffer, etc. Url: dsal.uchicago.edu/cgi-bin/philologic/getobject.pl?c.2:1:3714.platts

@Psyche1954 Thanks for the lovely translation, I'm sure it is accurate. This will also helps me understand the Hindustani language of bandishes in general as I now understand what common phrases like "milan", "tadap", etc mean. Btw is "taras" the same as the Farsi word, "TARS" meaning '''fear"?
@saumyasharma772 жыл бұрын
No taras doesn't mean fear, It means the feeling of suffering upon waiting for something from so long , Suppose when your throat is dry and you are not getting water, so that feeling which you get for getting something and suffering for it is taras
