This is a taste test/review of the Ciabatta Cheesesteak and Mac & Cheese from Panera Bread.
* Ciabatta Cheesesteak - sliced steak with provolone, caramelized onions, sweet peppers and garlic aioli drizzle on Ciabatta
* Mac & Cheese - Tender shell pasta in a blend of rich cheeses including our tangy aged white cheddar cheese sauce

@@joshuatexas it definitely is but I feel like he would've gotten something else if he was asked. Usually, not always, people who get the baguette are eating a salad or a soup. So if he had gotten a sandwich and soup, it would've made more sense to get the baguette. Hopefully that location improves because they were all discombobulated lol

Panera Bread is way too overpriced for me. You can go many price and get a whole sub for 8 or 9.

Great review Kevin! Disregard this suggestion if you’ve already tried it but a great sandwich/grinder spot is Mancino’s on Leestown in Lexington. My fav is the Valentini Italian special, but they’re all great! Not too terribly far from y’all either. Thanks for all the awesome reviews, we are huge fans!

Our Panera doesn't have a drive-thru; I wish they dd, however, at those prices? forget it. My husband & I used to to ours semi-regularly.

That is always how Panera has worked - with your meal you get a piece of bread (used to either be that mini baguette or a roll) or chips or a piece of fruit. In my area, the bacon mac & cheese is $6.59, the mac & cheese is $5.99 and the half of sandwich is $7.59. So you're not getting any deal really. I am surprised you were asking about the deal since you had been to Panera before. They are known for their crappy pick 2 (soup and half sandwich; small salad and soup, etc) and their sides have always been pretty much the same for 2 decades (sad!). They have fallen mighty since the days when they first opened (one opened near me in 2000 or so, I think it was), and their prices have soared but their quality has crashed to earth with a bottoming out.

We have a local BBQ restaurant that has amazing Mac & Cheese and it’s so much cheaper. The sandwich did look and sound good, however Panera is pricey IMO. Thanks for a great review Kevin.

Not a huge fan of Panera, they leave their bread/bagels out in the open air and their bread is always stale when I eat there. I feel like if BREAD is in your actual name, the bread should be good!!! This looks good though since it's toasted, and their store bought mac and cheese is pretty good as well.

My goodness 13.28 for all that? when you said 7 something I was thinking that was for both and even that was kinda much for mac and cheese and a small sandwich. then that was for the sandwich alone, crazy

Panera angers me! 😡 Last few times I spent around $23 for nothing. They used to have delicious chicken tortellini then took it off the menu. They got rid of a lot of delicious protein options after Covid, but looks like they’re bringing it back. It’s just not worth it ever! Glad you loved the sandwich at least.

I don't know if you come back after 2 days to read your reviews but I watch food videos on youtube all the time and I want to give you some feedback. You need to replace your microwave! Especially with the volume of videos you do, you need to make that investment. You always comment on how the edges burn and get hard and you tap on the hard "lava" burnt edges. But you are the only vlogger on youtube whose microwave does this. ALL of your end results are BURNT completely and dried out. Look at other videos of the same products you do.
