SM64 - Reversing a One Way Teleport Glitch

There are two teleports in SM64 that are meant to be one way teleports. However, these teleports are not programmed to be distinct from two way teleports. Instead, they just have one of the teleport locations above the ground, so that there's no way to stand close enough to activate it. I show that you actually CAN reverse one of these one way teleports, by standing in a very particular spot.
I use a cheat code in this video to see the invisible objects, namely by giving them the appearance of sign posts. The cheat code is:

To teleport, you have to be near it AND standing, so unfortunately moon jumping close enough to it wouldn't work. You would need a code for standing in midair.

True, but all invisible objects look like the exact same kind of sign! Also, doing the sign glitch actually alters what happens with some invisible clones. It makes it so the clone appears where you release the clone and NOT where you cloned it. For example, if chain chomp's pivot looks like a sign, it will stay where you release it, which isn't actually accurate. So I have to test what happens WITHOUT the cheat code on for true accuracy.

Oh I have. It will be shown in a future video (that I've actually been putting off for a while now). It will detail several invisible clones, but investigating them takes a lot of trial and error (since they're invisible so it's hard to tell what's actually going on!!!)

Two interesting observations with a SM64DS editor: The teleport source and destination are separate objects in the remake. The pyramid warp was removed.

Perhaps that pyramid teleport used to be where the floor was (look at how the posts extend past the actual floor, up to the height of the teleport). Like the coins in THI.

Alex C But then, the problem with that theory is that the mesh would be obviously too high the jump into as a hangable ceiling, as it was no doubt intended to do. Though I do wonder why a teleport would teleport you backward i.e. down the pyramid.

It could be one way for the reason of one getting stuck on that island. If One were to have access to the floating tp point, then using the switch to spawn the boxes would be pointless.

The THI one is probably meant to be one way, since taking it the other way skips the “challenge” of crossing the bridge before the timer runs out; the teleport is only there so you’re not stuck on that platform once the bridge disappears

For what you said at 2:22 actually there is a way you can get close to it, if you spawn one of those crate or breakable boxes you'll be close enough to the object to transport back, because I did that and it worked :-D

I know this is old but maybe it is possible to clone something to stand on. Can you clone a board or anything sorta close to that? I do not have an emulator or good enough with cloning to try it I may one day.
