Panoramic from an Epson 3880

The Epson 3880 is a great printer but only takes 17x22 inch cut paper. We will show you how to print using paper up to 17x37.4 inches.

Why don’t you first feed the paper in the printer using the “Down” key on the pronter before starting the actual printing process? That way, you can verify if the paper has been fed in straight before beginning to print.

I have an Epson ET-4550 that said it can print 47" or something like that. Never knew how to do that till now thank you. Now I can cut my paper and print my panoramic's. Not fine art but I am sure it will still look good.

You could use curtain pole brackets and a length of curtain pole rather than ring bolts, as that would avoid having to counter bore the underneath of the roll holder.

Great job! Have you tried the back feeder to make it easier just laying the paper over a larger table? And have you tried cotton paper?

I tried to print roll paper on my 3880. My steps were almost exactly like you described. I keep getting a paper load error using either the regular paper feed or the rear load option - and no print. Suggestions? Thanks, Ted

My experience with same issue is that either the paper is to "stiff" to the printer to handle or too thick.

Hi Great review 1- but the max length is limited to 37.4 inch. Is there a way to increase this by modifying the epson drivers easily, or are there any drivers available on the net to go over that limit free or cheap ? 2- Are there any danger that the cut end, damage the very sensitive and delicate heads of the printer if you print many of theses prints from roll of papers ? regards

To your first question udps.exe , will do what you ask to a limit of 6 meters , and the guy who wrote it free of charge. Do a search and you will find it . if you are stuck I will send you a link. One thing it works with windows only .
