Thank you Rune, what a wonderful and insightful interview with prof. Johan Vetterson. Respect for human and non human beings and above all the environment around us. Greetings from South Africa 🇿🇦

Good discussion! A lot of thoughts came up. Like, I know there are christian climate activists, and I imagine they see the role of humans more as custodians than rulers. I think christianity has been used/abused to support capitalism and modern ways of separating mind and matter, or how we look at things as discussed in the video. Also, making distinction can help to find one's place in the big web of relations. E.g. I know I am a female human, and my cat is a male cat. This doesn't make one more worthy or valuable than the other, but it helps to define our relation (I have to feed him and take himto the vet when necessary, he comforts me when I am down and keeps mice out of our house, among other things). I'm also reminded of science in the past: if we have to be able to prove something exists, or it doesn't: did bacteria exist before we proved their existence? Or, the existence of things and beings is not dependent on our ability to observe them. Thanks for making me think deeper. ❤

This was so amazing, the idea is coming together. The talk about dualism and materialism I totally agree that a shift towards relating and respecting needs to happen.

People who are confident do not have stacks of books behind them when they speak. Whether or not they have ever been read is unknown.

LOOOOOLLLLL that's precious. Allow me to reformulate what you just said to give it a tad more precision. "Professors of philosophy who have been named the "most important current thinker in Scandinavia" propbably place themselves in front of books in order to bulster their sense of confidence"

Ooorrr, dude's computer is in his office and his plethora of books just so happen to be behind him when he sits at said computer... I'd be willing to bet that it is *YOU* who is not confident when they speak, therefore u feel as though u have to put someone down whom u find intimidating and more intelligent than yourself just so u don't get your precious lil ego bruised.

The panpsychist implications of Dr.Michael Levin's work on bioelectricity and cellular intelligence are exactly what brought me away from atheism to animism
