Tell me about it. I took my kid to this show and he was only 11 at the time. We had floor tickets and the pit during the Slayer set came all the way back to the mixing desk where we were standing. One of the guys on the desk helped my kid back over the barriers so he could stand in safety and stand on the barriers so he could see better. I remember when I was a kid and my folks complained that the music I was learning on the guitar was too heavy. Now I'm telling the kids that the crap they call metal now isn't heavy enough and doesn't have enough meaning and balls. WTF! LOL

I took a job with an hour commute each way so I invested in satellite radio a couple years ago to keep me awake and entertained. I found the hard rock/metal station and listened to about 4 songs before I decided whatever they were playing was garbage and started scrolling around. Then I found the "classic'' hard rock station and of course they are playing all the music I listened to in high school and love. That hit me pretty hard, shit like this I remember buying when it came out at the store* are now ''classics''. I've tried my best to get into the newer stuff, but I keep coming back to Pantera, early Metallica, Layne era AIC, Sepultura (the real one with Max), the good shit. If anybody knows some current stuff that don't suck or isn't whiny emo garbage please tell me so I can check them out but until then I'll ''dance with the one that brought me'' as us old timers like to say. *If you really want to freak out the kids tell them about heading out to Disc Jockey at midnight for the new Pantera cd as soon as the trucks delivered them. I used to go out to Camelot and flip through the CD racks all the time after school. I still remember the smell of the carpet in there. Memories kids today will never have I guess.

I can agree with your whole comment, pretty much. There's LOTS & LOTS & LOTS of bands out there. There's LOTS & LOTS of really GOOD or even GREAT bands to get into & appreciate. Then, it's narrowed down to just the LOTS of bands left that truly stand out above most that create in their own unique way that dictate a genre/ sub-genre for a significant period of people's lives that no matter how old they grow, they've already have kind of themed it in their memory files by the one or two bands who either changed them or got them through possibly the toughest episodes during that segment of their lives that will be there for the rest of their lives to look back on painfully or blissfully, in some cases... both! (thanks to that persons specific choice of artist) The few bands who can do that for countless fans, or maybe just 1 fan, are the ones that fall into a smaller, much more special category of ELITE for specific greater appreciation of the band & the songs they've hit people with, no matter what the popular consensus of how good, level of talent or musical knowledge, skills & ability. They may be more talented or may not be, compared to other bands/musicians. And EVERYONE can feel or choose what is the best music or favorite, because thats every individuals personal opinion that each person has every right to have. So anybody can appoint ANY band to be their own favorite, (IN THEIR OPINION), right? .....HOWEVER, that being said, YOU CAN'T just decide for everyone, which band (even though you've chosen a particular favorite.) Is the ALL TIME, UNDISPUTED KING of their genre and officially crowned as THE best ever. **SO, I had to explain ALL THAT in the hopes you will understand this next part... Only, 'specifically the very first part' of your complete comment (which I agreed with, mostly) is definitely NOT TRUE. You can in NO WAY conclude that PANTERA is the "undisputed king of heavy metal" . No. "UNDISPUTED"?? There are plenty of valid disputes on as to who or whom can deserve or own THAT title! YOU CAN STILL KEEP YOUR OWN OPINION. IT'S VALID FOR LIFE IF YOU LIKE.🤘😎👍 YOU GOT THAT RIGHT! 🔥☠️🎸DIME.R.I.P.VIN🥁☠️🔥

Seen them for the last time in South Florida on this tour too. Damn do I miss these guys. I was so damn happy they played Floods when I seen them. Thank you so damn much to the Pantera camp. Rest Easy Abbott brothers, and thanks for recording this awesome/sad video dude.

I'm so glad to see these videos Pantera was the best live band ever and people who never saw them cant imagine how loud they you couldn't hear anything for days after and was well worth it

Vinnie Paul blows my mind every single time, the man hits like a truck, yet he is extremly precise and on point. 'Fucking Hostile' sums up what i mean. Always enjoy watching him just glide over the kit while hitting the drums with such force. I understand that practice makes perfect but there's something special about Vinnie.

This is NOT Pantera's best performance by a long shot!! I LOVE Pantera, just everbody in the comments saying this was the best show, just because they were either there or this is the only Pantera concert they've found on KZbin. I still follow Phil to this day with Down, Superjoint Ritual and The Illegals. This show, hell, this tour,.. the band was fighting. They weren't getting along during this time because they were all pissed at Phil for being a heroine addict. If you notice, they were all staying ten feet away from each other and not interacting with each other at all! What you're actually witnessing here is the fall of the only metal band ever to get harder and heavier with every album. RIP Darrell, Vinnie and Pantera. You were ICONIC!

Yeah, this is badass! Thank you for putting this out there. I never got to see them live, definitely one regret I'll always carry...the sound and video quality is way better than what I expected when I first started it! A killer setlist as well. You're a lucky bastard for having been there. Thanks again. Your ears must still be ringing all these years later.

Really is hard to fathom that both Vin and Dime are gone now...and that we are closing in quickly on it being 15 years since Dime was senselessly and brutally murdered. RIP to both of ya legends..was only 14 when Dime died and was crushed I never got to see him/Pantera in the flesh. These vids will forever be the closest I can get. There will never be anything like the man Dime was or the band Pantera was.

💖 LOVE PANTERA!!!! RIP Dime Bag I was at this show. So incredible! Went to many many Pantera shows. I always stood at the front, on the right, so I could be in front of Dime Bag. At the end of one of the shows (Cow Palace, SF or San Jose State?) when Dime Bag threw his picks into the crowd, one landed directly into my hand!!! It was so packed at the front that I wiggled my arm up before the last song so I was ready :) Thank You Pantera for all the kick ass shows and happy memories!!! (And Thank you for this great video!)
