I took it to its first car wash and the second time going I thought to myself.. “other people’s vehicles used these same brushes and probably dirtier than my car… wonder how much bad this could be” found out and made the decision to hand wash only from there on out. I use the blue EZ detail brush for the barrels and getting behind the tight caliper area but I REALLY like using the "Detailer's Preference Double Sided Microfiber Interior & Exterior Auto Detailing Cleaning Glove". It takes the whole wash mitt concept a bit further giving your fingers the ability to really get into the tight areas and have found for the wheels on the various cars I've had over the years, this glove is always making life easy when it comes to cleaning the spokes. I'd say the more spokes you have, the better this glove becomes.

Absolutely no issues. As soon as you hit the brakes that small layer gets removed instantaneously due to the high friction of the pads and rotors. You won't even notice a difference when braking, so zero issues here.

I wanted to ask, is it safe to use Carpro Iron c snow soap on ceramic coated cars on regular bases to keep the hydrophobic properties from masking by iron deposits or is it too abusive? I found this product and seems to be a wonderful combo, but what to you think? Cheers from Estonia
@PanTheOrganizer2 жыл бұрын
No. There is no need to use iron removers or CarPro IronX Snow Foam on a regular basis. You use iron decon once very 3 to 4 months, or as needed depending on brake dust contamination. For regular weekly washes, use CarPro Reset for coated cars. That's what I use on my Porsche and I wash my car twice weekly.

That’s sad as you’ll be missing out on good detailing products and tools. Amazon is very limited. And I think it’s important to support brands that make good products by buying from their website or their distributors’ websites. Amazon eats aways at companies’ profit margins and hearing from many brands, most don’t like working with Amazon as it’s very complicated and one sided. Also, you’ll notice that often, the price of a given product is higher compared to the same product on the manufacturer’s website. That’s to account for the Amazon free shipping. The manufacturer has to swallow the cost of that free shipping so they need to increase the price. I learned that nothing is really free nowadays.

Any form of ruststopper like Hydes is in my view only a 50% solution, as you can’t reach the backside of the discs.

Very informative as always, thanks. I also have carbon ceramic big brakes on the front. (2019 MB C63s) Do you take extra precautions when using chemicals on your carbon ceramic brake rotors? BTW, just incase you did not know (unlikely)... when washing a newer Benz, double lock the car to prevent the annoying locking/unlocking. Thanks again.

Hello Pan! Are you aware of any boar’s hair brushes that have a rubber collar? All of the ones I have come across have the hard plastic. Wondering if someone thought of doing one with rubber coating.

Yes you can use that on wheels, glass, paint and plastic trim.

I would like a wheel wooly type brush in between the large and medium size one. That would be perfect for the barrels. Tires i like the black TRC brush. Face the wheel woolies boars hair brush you use. As far as the ez detail brush it would Benefit to be a little bit firmer. Just doesnt clean as good as i want. Edit: the lambs wool hand mitt OG offers is great for the face and behind the spokes as well.

Can you use the black boars hair brush for cleaning rubber floor mats also or are they too soft for that? If so, I’ll go with the green brush. Thanks Pan!

In regards to the rust protectant for the brake rotors. Will it cause any issues with braking or Brake performance,
@PanTheOrganizer Жыл бұрын
Zero issues, as that's just to prevent flash rust after washing a vehicle. As soon as you brake, it goes away.

Can you wash off the curveball brush after applying the tire dressing? or is it not necessary?
@PanTheOrganizer4 ай бұрын
If you only use it for that purpose, not necessary to clean it. If you want to clean it for different uses or if it gets too gunked up over time, simply spray some APC, work it in, and rinse with warm water. Boom, done.

Hey Pan, very detailed video! Would you consider looking at Armor All Brake Dust Repellent? It does a fairly good job at reducing brake dust. I'm just not sure what is actually in the product or what type of product it is. You spray it on after you clean the wheels and let it dry.

Do you have a preference for tire dressing ? Have you used PERMASHINE TIRE COATING by exoforma ? They advertise that it lasts a year ? Wanted your opinion on it ? If it's a good or bad tire dressing
@PanTheOrganizer2 жыл бұрын
I haven’t tested those. My current favourite tire coating is CarPro BlackOut (I get 5 months durability in summer and 2.5 months in winter). For my favourite tire dressings, there are a few. Adam’s Graphene Tire Dressing, Obsessed Garage Tire Dressing, CarPro PERL diluted 1:1, Chemical Guys VRP, etc

For the Porsche Taycan with Mission E wheels, the Wooly Wormit can’t fit behind the large front brakes. How do I clean the wheel barrel without using the nylon brushes which you say will cause marring?
@PanTheOrganizer2 жыл бұрын
Don’t overthink the moment. Light agitation with shampoo as a lubricant will be fine for the area right behind the calipers. I use the EZ Detail brush for that on my own Porsche.

If i were to use Wet Coat, would i apply the tire dressing as normal after the Wet Coat?
@PanTheOrganizer10 күн бұрын
You would use WetCoat on the wheels, not the tires. There will be some overspray that’s ok. And yes once the tires are dry you apply your tire dressing as per usual.

Doesn't Brake Buster have rust inhibitors for rotors? Also, is something like TW Hybrid Ceramic Detailer Spray good for Satin finish alloys as a sealant?
@PanTheOrganizer10 ай бұрын
As per P&S: “Brake Buster deposits a thin layer of special corrosion inhibitors to protect the wheel from future corrosion.” I haven’t tested the TW on satin or matte finishes.
@SilverShamrock7110 ай бұрын
@@PanTheOrganizer I've put some TW on, it has glossed up the satin finish nicely, and given them a nice dark rich tone (they're dark graphite) we will see how well it holds up to winter driving
