Hi Dave, no haven't bought any cheap wheel brushes, but the real deal Wheel Woolies pack of 3 and the caliper woolie. Just checked the receipt, bought them in June 2017, total cost £56.00. All of them still look brand new. OK, the big one, has a few threats missing, due to me pumping the brush in the wheel as though it's a toilet, and aggressive use of my arm and the fact my wheels have the wheel disc and disc cover to the side and not in the middle, creating a tiny space, which the big brush can't go through, and me being lazy to get the other smaller brush, even though it's in the wheel bucket with the other brushes. Not sure why BMW do this. But, still very happy with the real woolies. I am trying to avoid anything made in China, if possible, as virtually everything has been total crap, and fell apart after a few months. Ending buying the real quality stuff, so wasted money buying cheap. But sometimes, some cheap items are OK. Will be interested to see how well they last.

I got the smaller red WF type wheel brush. The build is as good as my Meguiars wheel woollie and the cleaning ability is excellent for alloys. Cost me £4.00 from Amazon!

They work fine I’ve been buying different styles for the last 12 months and I still have 2 of my 3 original Woolies I bought 5 years ago. The medium Woolie kept getting caught on different wheels and is just about buggered now. My favourite one I use now on my own 2 cars (no one else’s cars coz I love it 😂) is a long hair soft style brush from Amazon. No scratches and plastic with a soft foam handle. Best $19 AUD I’ve spent.

they last if you're not bending them. i go through a set every 6 or 7 months because of bending. ones that I don't bend I still use over a yr later.. It's like a paper clip. keep bending it, and it will crack at that bend, so just angle them inside the barrels, and they will last longer. also, if you're not being aggressive with them, they will last longer too. the quality chemicals you use do half the work, so use good chemicals and lots of suds and do less work scrubbing 👍 its a business expense like soap. you don't have to use the crappiest ones. but you also don't have to use the best ones available. a 2 or 3 pack for 20 to 30 $ is the sweet spot. don't get the 5$ ones. and no need for the 50$ ones. great videos. keep it up

Yeah it's such a hard task finding good cheap brushes. I will keep people posted on these as I will be using them a lot of the time now
@alexisamtosta2 жыл бұрын
I'll give you some advice... You dont have to buy the best of the best, but buy good quality stuff. Spend a bit more and go for better stuff or else you will see yourself spending a lot in things that dont work properly and you are not even saving that much compared to buying better quality stuff. That works for products and tools. Some things are expensive and its purely marketing. Many tools are made buy the same company and rebranded for other companies. You will see that with polishers, detailing brushes etc. The truth is that we also have to try things out to see if they work and if you like it. Then there is also another situation that is, not always the cheap or cheaper stuff is bad. Not too long ago, I sold very cheap a bundle of cheaper products I bought to try out but they werent actually that good. And the reality is, that we all start from the bottom and we all have a budget. So its a matter of balancing things.

Hi Dave I have the red ones which I've had for 9 months and are still in pretty decent nick,like the way you can bend them to clean behind the spokes and calipers.😎

I got the Autobrite wheel woolies in one of their sales, £30 for 7 brushes so not so bad. Only problem has been after a couple of washes the heads come off the handles ! Only way I can use em now is with an elastic band in a couple of spots to hold it on

Even though i have been cleaning my cars for more years than i care to remember,i have never heard of these wheel woolies ,i have the brush that sprays you when using them .I used to either crawl under the back of the car to clean the inside of the alloys,and put it on lock for the fronts ...As to what wheel woolies to buy ,It all depends how often you clean your car and to what standard...Im a mechanic so 99% of my kit is snap on ,so it is in constant use ,for the odd tool that gets used once a year if its lucky then i buy a cheaper tool,as the snap on price is not justifiable ..If you are just a summer car cleaner ,then the cheaper ones would be better ,you would probably get a couple of years out them ...Still learning from your good self

Bought some amazon cheapos, and used them once. The center of the cleaning pad was too wide and unable to be used in gaps that weren't over 2 inches or so. I sent them back, will look for a wheel cleaning brush with a thinner 'core" at the center of the brush.

@@epicautomotivedetailing nothing noticeable Dave still in good condition. I use the smaller one most of the time, and still bends pretty stiff too .....if you pardon the expression 😂.
