My grandfather also used wipes similar to those to clean and neatly coil his cords and all tools at the end of the day. He once lent his power cord to a neighbor one day while we were in the garage. I was very young and just was watching him do various woodworking projects. Yano, usual and I’ll never forget what he had said after the guy returned. He turned to me and said, “remember that you can always see the type of man someone is by looking at their tools and when the day comes that you ask a neighbor or friend for a tool, always return it in the shape or better then when you borrowed it” I always make it a point to clean and organize my tools and that’s 100% because of him and I’d just like to say, you the man Pan!

The right tool for the right job. I still would like to see you put together different levels of kits for beginners and up. Perhaps the kits could be put together in such a way as to entice those of us who would buy at a beginner level and improve to the next level with PTO kits.
@mikepurkey60706 жыл бұрын
It would mainly be great ideal for beginners as they have no clue. But after u get experience itd be a bit harder to find things everyone wants. Also with a beginner package u could put in all the stuff no one actully uses and theyd buy the hell out of it because they dont know better. But this industry is full of snake oil salesmen so half the shit they say u need is not necessarily needed or wanted after trying the product. Some things u do need but really u gotta spend the money or find a friend with said product and try it for urself. U will waste alot of money but u learn and so i guess u pay for lessons....haha....just my thoughts on the situation. Have a good day.

@@PanTheOrganizer One of my RVing buddies used to be an auto detailer. He and his family camped with us in my yard during our independence day weekend. To get my truck ready for the town parade, he detailed it for us. He didn't have time to give me a tutorial, so after they left, I searched it on youtube.....and found your channel. We just got a travel trailer a couple of months ago. I'll end up getting some of your linked supplies to help maintain it, as well as our car and truck fleet. My stove top is even easier to clean now with a regular rag. I just went on with just one section, well worth the money, and very useful for tools and This can will last.Easy to use, smell good. Another great video! I wish you would do a video showing how to determine if a brush is stiff bristles or soft bristles. Since stiff and soft are relative terms, how do you decide what a particular brush is? For example, in another video you used both a Mothers Wheel Brush and a Mothers Fender Brush. Are they stiff or soft? Are both brushes the same stiffness? Thank you.
@PanTheOrganizer5 жыл бұрын
If the bristles have feathered tips, they typically are soft. If they are individual stirdier nylon or similar material, they are stiff. I go by feeling in the hand. If they feel soft, they’re soft. If not, they’re stiff.

i just use the pressure washer on my wheel wells. except i keep the pressure washer off. my 3yo car rear wells have a carpet like material there for some reason. front is the usual plastic. for a squeegee i use a RainX wiper blade off my previous car. its has a 24" reach. one pass on my rear window takes about 90% of the morning dew off. Foam cannons are great fun to use. I used so much less soap to cover my car in thick suds than i expected. I only paid $17 for one. I highly recommend one. it made the washing part a lot quicker.

Try out baby wipes for cleaning tools, I use them all the time 99 % water but can still remove brake dust from wheels. Try them and let me know what you think, they are a lot cheaper.

The clay towels are pretty good for lightly contaminated vehicles but if there are heavy stuck on contaminants a clay bar from my experience works alot better, if you have a clay bar there is no need for a clay rag

How does the clay towel work compared to clay bar. How do you remove any dirt that the towel gathers so you have a clean surface to work with?

You’ll soon find out in an upcoming video where I talk about clay bars vs clay towels vs clay mitts. Stay tuned!

Great video Pan, oodles and oodles of valuable info on tools and tips of the trade. Good sound and video all the way through. My ONLY comment and feedback that I've noticed about the footage, and it's no bigs, is when you grab a product to bring close to the camera for the viewers to see up close and to read. When you bring the product up close for the viewers to see and in some cases to read what's on the label, Try not to bring it too close. Your vid cam can't focus on items that close. It could also be that the "auto-focus" feature is ONLY set to focus on items that are in the center frame. This could be the problem. Either that, or give the camera a little longer to focus on what you're holding up. I know the tendency is to want to keep it moving and not to linger, but you can always defer from that by giving more in depth info on the item while you're holding the item steady....until the camera catches up and brings it into focus. I noticed that's what I think you were trying to do, but many times you rush through it and the vid cam never quite catches up. Like I said, it most CERTAINLY does not give you a fail because of that, not by a long shot, because your videos are always chock full of useful information. But if you want to go from ALLLLLLLLMOST perfect, to PERFECT ??? . . . . that's all you need to do and as they say "Bob's your f**king UNCLE" !!! You will hit a home run brother. Looking forward to seeing more of your vids and how to's during this self isolation period.

Hey pan! Would you be able to type out how much you typically charge for your services to get an idea? Such as a basic wash, a detailed wash, wax etc..?I don't know what exactly to charge my customers yet. I'm just starting.
@PanTheOrganizer6 жыл бұрын
Hi! Unfortunately I never discuss prices on KZbin. It wouldn’t do you much good anyways as I have been detailing for over 21 years and prices go hand in hand with the detailer’s experience. So if you’re starting, you obviously can’t charge the same as somebody who’s been detailing for 20+ years, and you probably should start with basic car wash services. Also, as prices vary a lot for many factors including experience, country and even which city you live in, demographics, etc. My best suggestion would be for you to see what your local detailers offer and their prices, as you have to be strategic and competitive as far as your pricing goes. You should also watch my popular three part series on how to start your detailing business. Here’s part 1: kzbin.info/www/bejne/r5TTZX9ti659kNU

Pan! What’s the difference between a steam cleaner and an extractor?
@PanTheOrganizer4 жыл бұрын
A steam cleaner just shoots steam. An extractor shoots hot water into the fabric and has succion to remove that dirty liquid.
