The lance is a real bulwark! I have a lot of respect for the boldness most lancers display, and it's interesting how you define the shield as a tool for aggression and control, rather than simple protection. It's a mistake many newbie hunters commit with their mindset, I'm sure (me too, back then). While the Gunlance has a wide toolset, it seems to me the lance overall is simpler to grasp, but more consistent as a tradeoff, which enhances the overall feeling of safety the weapon confers.

You can also start a charge by pressing Select, it's way quicker and easier :)

Lance... the kind of weapon that either make you die several times to a monster when you don't understand how it works, or break your clear time record when using properly. Not my favorite, but a solid choice nonetheless.

Thank u for the video, I used to play with Greatsword, but wanted to use something more complex. I found what I was looking for in Lance, and it's cool seeing this to be sure that I'm playing "right" with it!

I totally get that, it took me a long time to get better with it, and I'm still not amazing with it lol Just stick with it!! You'll get it eventually, take breaks if you need them, use other weapons in the meantime. Good luck! 🙂

It was even harder on the first games since you don't have counter and shield charge. Like you have to practice alot on positioning and iframing for optimal play.

Can I ask a question I mean off the topic. Where can I find some light crystals in Mhfu because I struggle to find one to complete my Hi Metal Armor.

You can mine in the caves of the swamp, or break a gypceros head and you'll get it in the rewards, or you can get some with mining point lvl 2 or 3 at the farm. But a simple "mhfu light crystal" google search would have been just as effective you know (not trying to be rude but there's so many things to learn in this game that you better start learning how to search lol)

gamefaqs usually gets you covered, they have guides, resource maps, monster drops and weakzones, etc. searched there: mining it in the swamp, in the caves there are brilliant crystals, mine there; upgrading the mining point to the second node and up; breaking the normal/purple gyps head; 500 pokke points expeditions to the swamp with Trenya in the farm. doublecheck and search for more there
