"No clicks, no pops, no anything". I bet it should've been very hard to address that the right way, without affecting sound/transients too much. These modules are amazing!!! Kudos for all the hard work!

I love PathSet’s older modules, & always love your ideas, too. Great collab. 🥇 The waveform display especially is so helpful (and beautiful). I love my Morphagene but having a visual representation just makes it a totally different process. This is such a great "meat and potatoes" granular tool. Will be so helpful for live input with guitar. 🤘

Wonderful! I'm really liking these collabs man... Took me till halfway through the vid to notice the shrooms behind the controls, very cool. Can't wait to have play around with this.

All of the collab modules you have released with Path Set (and FLAG) are phenomenal, and I'm feeling quite inspired by all of them; going to be deep-diving into granular in the coming months and they will all get workouts for sure.

Immaculate coding - probably the best sounding granular engine in VCV. There's a great set selection of functions - only thing that seems to be missing is a crossfader to blend end to start point. The design looks a bit too much like plastic electronics for kids for my taste.. but arrangement into three sections is well thought-out, placement and size of the knobs and buttons looks very good as well. Not sure if anyone will ever need CV control over the filters, if yes, not sure if they will need attenuverters: that space could've gone to an output gain, an x-fade or an SOR/EOR output (context menu SOR/EOR/SOR+EOR so you can automatically turn stuff off and on when recording). Great job on this. Its a powerful tool.

Thank you so much! I will see if there's anything we can do about the S/EOR. Have fun!

So excited to play with this! Would love to see a freeze in there too, then imagine it would be quite similar to the nebulae
@OmriCohen-Music Жыл бұрын
Thanks! I guess that just by recording something, it's already sort of frozen, and then you can manipulate it. Or do you mean maybe turning the speed down enough that it's frozen?
@seand4138 Жыл бұрын
@@OmriCohen-Music After making this comment and I bought the module. Should've done that before commenting on freeze, but found that reducing the length right down you can actually get quite a similar sound to nebulae. I guess maybe there is a difference with the amplitude window they are using and maybe the resynthesizing technique that gives it a different timbre. PantherCap is a great module though, will definitely be using this in my upcoming patches!

This is great, it's like Simpliciter but doesn't click and crash every few minutes! I just have a quick question, when recording a polyphonic signal does it merge the channels into a stereo recording and then enable polyphonic playback of the stereo signal, or can it independently manipulate each channel with the granular controls? I'm wondering if for example you could use 8 different samples into a merge module, then alter the loop points etc with polyphonic modulation. I'm guessing not, but this would be immense!
@OmriCohen-Music Жыл бұрын
Thanks! So yeah, it will sum polyphonic signals into a stereo signal. But, you can always use 8 instances and manipulate different samples :)
@VirtualModular Жыл бұрын
@@OmriCohen-Music that's what I thought but thanks for confirming! I was wondering if I could sample poly effects, I like to use polyphony as a kind of multi-channel audio, if that makes sense. Like you say, could always split it out into multiple instances instead, so that could be interesting. Now, where's my credit card... 😆
@OmriCohen-Music Жыл бұрын
@@VirtualModular Yes, that totally make sense. It's a great use of polyphony. Let me know how it goes :)

Awesome module! I think near the end of the video you ended up quantizing the chords to the nearest octave so it was just playing all the same note and the final sound was a bit less interesting. So many cool features though, will definitely check this out.

How do you "timestretch" with this? Send a synced ramp up LFO to start CV? Kinda like I would on a tracker/m8?
@OmriCohen-Music Жыл бұрын
The Time control will actually time stretch the audio by default. It will not change the pitch, only the playback time. You will have to play with the grain length and overlap to find the sweet spots according to the audio you use. If you don't like this effect, you can also take the length all the way down, and use a ramp LFO to modulate the starting point. According to the speed of the LFO, you will get various playback speeds.
