Im a new subscriber, and I'd love a video on a spreadsheet. I'm trying to meal plan but it's a bit overwhelming with a newborn and sticking to it.

Welcome here! Ok, I’ll do that. For meal planning check out my system in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gKKno4iMedJmorcsi=mzBHMr-OQ5iC-oDA It’s a flexible system but still well planned.

If some can't do Azure Standard by themselves but like the healthier options... possibly you have family that could go in with you and half the cost. Always do your homework on prices.
@TheFromScratchFarmhouse10 ай бұрын
True! Also, you don’t have to buy large quantities from Azure. I just do because it makes sense for our large family and bigger amount = cheaper price.

Will you have another video showing us what you bought in your order?
@TheFromScratchFarmhouse10 ай бұрын
I didn’t record this order but I have a few Azure hauls on my channel and I pretty much get the same thing every time. 😅 Here is last years’s haul: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pXvOgmWLhJqSjJYsi=4ijh48AtCqY3_6MW

I don’t have a well stocked pantry yet. So I’m trying to inventory what we have this month, as well as reduce and establish a weekly/monthly grocery budget. Trying to use up what food stuffs I’ve been avoiding using.
@TheFromScratchFarmhouse10 ай бұрын
That's a great idea to use up those random items. It definitely takes time to get a system in place.

The idea of having food enough for a year is becoming a goal of mine. Thank you for showing us how you do it. How do I budget for this as a beginner?

I think I’ll add this to next week’s video!

Do you have a link to your spreadsheet?

Not yet. I need to create some instructions for using it and then it will be available for purchase. Hopefully soon!

Great info but a 50 lb bag of Oat’s in a household of 9 compared to 50 lbs in a household of 2. Using oxygen absorbers to protect your investment into bulk food would be a wise decision. If you are looking to save and get the most bang for your buck.
@TheFromScratchFarmhouse10 ай бұрын
True, we can go through that much oats in a few months easily, but if it will take you more than a year, oxygen absorbers would be a good idea.

Doesn't buying and stocking your pantry ahead of time defeat the purpose of the challenge? You're still spending the money..
@TheFromScratchFarmhouse10 ай бұрын
No because this is our normal time to “grocery shop” for the year for ingredients. The purpose of the challenge for us is to refrain from stopping into the store for convenience foods or buying unnecessary things.
@lifebeyondthesalary245810 ай бұрын
If we had a basement, I’d be stoked to have a grocery store in my basement 😂Hubby maybe not so much but I love knowing that my family will be fed well even if we can’t get to the store in a month or more.

My parents bought a farm where the house made in 1850’s had just a tiny Whats called a Michigan cellar. When I was very young one of my relatives hand dug the rest of the full size basement by hand. So don’t let that stop you.
