it's amazing that not just the community forgets what the purpose of the vehicles are they're using, but also gaijin itself. It's a howitzer, so depression is something it doesn't need in real life. It may be unfortunate from a game perspective, but the machine doesn't need it. I see so many people complain about features in the game and not think about what the purpose of the equitment was/is in real life.

Yes. What's the point of blindly groping around a battlefield like Helen Keller, smugly wreathed in an imaginary cloak of invincibility. If there exist actual enemy tanks that destroy that invincibility with one shot, it stops being fun. The whole point of being a German main is to easily bully the opposing side, showing off our superiority over the obviously inferior Allied side. If you make it so that we have to develop annoying things like "situational awareness, " "tactical competence," and "respect for one's opponent," then we would become self-critical in a way that destroys our blind admiration of the Wehrmacht and German technology. So please stop putting our tanks (developed in the mid 1940s) up against Cold War tanks developed in the late 1940s/early 1950s. It's unfair and hurts our ego.

They should just add a game mechanic where SPA players can get fire missions from players that use the scouting feature. It's been done before in Battlefield 1942, but was a bit cumbersome with the vehicles in there.

@@katqcentertainment8754 That's true, but artillery guns can circumvent this by aiming higher up so that the curve of the shell's trajectory is steeper. This enables the gun to fire at closer targets while still being behind cover. I'm not sure how you would go about adding proper artillery mechanics to War Thunder, but I would love to see SPGs shine in their intended role.

@M0vingSaturn523 That would require some extreme positive elevation which is not possible with the map sizes we have rn. Maximum eleveation angle is about +70 degrees at average with current use mobile artillery systems such as PzH 2000, K9 Thunder, 2S19, 2S3, 2S1, etc.

They don't exist for these aircraft because they didn't exist irl. The development of flares as IR countermeasures didn't reach most fighter aircraft until the 1970s. If a plane is depicted in an earlier configuration (like the F-4C, Mirage III, J35 Drakon, etc....) no flare dispenser exists for that aircraft.

It has no armor, mobility is ass, no stab, no thermals, no depression. Its literally useless as a TD. Its the definition of a glass cannon. Its heavily nerfed from what it is irl.

In-game; first stage stowage that gives two shots with 5.0 second reload before switching to a fixed 7.5 second reload In real life; quickfire burst that lets it fire 3 shells in 10 seconds (3.3 second reload) before switching to a sustained 6.0 second reload. there was no reason to insult them as they're right and the gun's reload is completely wrong. (and I have the PzH/have already gotten 700+ kills in it, so I'm pretty well versed in how it plays)
