I enjoyed seeing this aircraft yesterday and hearing about some of the adventures that led up to today. Enjoyed the video.

What an amazing machine!!! And the walk around was awesome!!! Thanks Mr Johnston :-) (Aerobatics was not my thing, I had trouble with spins, always admired those that could handle those violent maneuvers!!! ;-)

When he said "stitka spruce", I shut him off. Same with the air race announcer describing 'Precious Metal' "counter rotating" props. Sitka/Contra

So, he added an extra consonant to the name of a rare coniferous tree in an otherwise articulate 30-minute walk around which was filmed in one take and presented without edits... And therefore you discount anything he might have to say about an unusual, little known aircraft design. An airplane which he owns and competes with, in the most demanding discipline of a sport, at a national level? As to Counter vs Contra: adverb: counter in the opposite direction to or in conflict with. prefix: contra against; opposite; contrasting. All Contra-Rotating propellers are Counter-Rotating Propellers, but not all counter-rotating propellers are on the same shaft or motor. Virtually nobody uses "Contra" in any context outside of academia or maybe law any longer. Sitka. This pilot here must not know at all what he is talking about, I'm sure you are right.
