Loved this video, the 80’s & 90’s perfumes were really something to behold! I enjoy a drop of Knowing perfume in the colder months, its really beautiful. You mentioned Poison perfume, back in the day everyone seemed drenched in that one, sometimes it was difficult to breathe! lol

@@PaolaBianka You have to try Lou Lou. The recent formulation is reallyyyyy damn close to the original, minus the obnoxious intrusion on everybody s nostrils. After Poison, boy was that a bomb, really intoxicating. There was Poison, there was Alien and then Lou Lou. But its so beautiful. So complex. So enveloping, so enchanting. Its like a deep dark heart where you keep finding new and warm things.

@@PaolaBianka You can get it for pretty cheap everywhere these days. You gotta try it! Its deep, its dark, but somehow soooo inviting, alluring, decieving even. Sensual. Not Alien Yeah-let´s-do-it. Its more of a Lou Lou Yes-I´ll-do-you. Winter perfume only, you can try it in summer with the current formulation but I wouldnt recommend. This guy explains it perfectly. My mum used to have Poison, later on, Dune. Before that I’m the 70s, she was into Guerlain Mitzouko, YSL Paris and Shalimar. I’m currently taking trips down fragrance memory Lane. Giving some of my ‘younger’ scents to me daughter who’s 13. I thought it was time to get a bit more mature and started quizzing my mum!! 😂. Haven’t smelled Dune for years but like lady I’m the video, I remember because my mum had it. I’d steal a bit sometimes when going out! It was more modern and younger than Poison which I did like but that one was too old for that at the time.

Loved Dune when it came out..passion by Elizabeth Taylor was also a late 80s beast!! I loved colors de Benetton and Lou Lou as well. But Dune is in a place of its own..masterpiece.

Be prepared because it is not subtle and it does not smell modern. It screams shoulder pads and the late 80s vibes. I still love it. I don't like white diamonds though. It has way too much white flowers in the notes. My Older sisters signature scent she was such an over-sprayer the entire house and hallway of our building smelled like her it was definitely reformulated because I have a decant and it doesn’t linger love how you took me back there ❤️ love your memories of your mom and the toothbrush was too funny but I get you😂

My mom used to wear Dune too (and she's also a smoker). I love that fragrance (as you describe it, I can clearly smell it), but unfortunately it doesn't suit my body chemistry, it's too adult in me. I also enjoy 90's fragrances. Actually, I swapped Poême in a FB group and it's arriving today; I'm very excited about that one, because a friend of my mom had it and at that time I thought she was a top elegant woman haha. Good memories

The Christian Dior Dune in the 90s was very floral, balsamic and so feminine... it was quite a linear perfume thru out... Nothing woody or musky... no men would want to wear it bcoz it was so feminine

I was never a smoker, but I always loved aldehydic fragrances. I didn't have this in the 90s, but I adored White Diamonds for the same reasons. I've just gotten back into fragrances, and this is one of my favorites. The smell of lilies to me is reminiscent of funeral homes. (I know that sounds morbid perhaps, but to me it's sort of comforting. I'm ok with being the weirdo with this, lol) I love the cicadas, btw!

Funnily enough, my mum Used to smoke and she was into the same fragrances your mum was. Never thought about it complimenting the smoke before. Personally I love adyhydes they’re in one called Vanderbilt and Chanel No 5 too. I used to smoke aswell so probably used to it lol.
