4:32 : Lemme guess. The pizza was baked inside the wok over one of those big jet burners, the oil atop the pizza vaporized and got burned by the flames licking the sides of the wok, resulting in this little charring on top. Did I get it right ?

Tsukiji fish market is fun but it is still a tourist trap much like Gwangjang market in Seoul

Tsukiji is one of my very favorite places on Earth; the food there is to die for and I spent not one but TWO entire afternoons eating any and every thing I could find there. It's culinary heaven, pure and simple. If money were no object I'd live there. It's *that* damn good. If you're planning a Tokyo trip, definitely plan to go here. I can't wait to go back!

It’s a tourist trap but these are decent choices 😀 except Tsukiji Teppanyaki Juju. We paid 140$ for the bigger size A5 steak and sea urchin on top. And let me tell you neither was what we expected. For that price the sauce they put on top is rather cheap tasting kinda like a less sweet version of teriyaki. And the meat doesn’t melt in your mouth like some other shops. The best we had was one shop to the side where a white guy who spoke Japanese was working. Sold cubed meats on a skewer and seasoned with just sea salt. The meat cubes just melt in your mouth. Tsukiji Teppanyaki Juju was a big let down

However with regard to the food it is quite expensive. And for what you get it is not worth it. I spent probably close to $1000 there including fruits, snacks, ice cream, japanese egg which i forget what is called, several steaks, the best one were cut pieces and seafood, which I liked the fatty tuna.

Am currently visiting Japan, and saw this video a few months ago when planning my trip. Family and I stumbled down the alleyway shown at the beginning looking for some place to cool off from the heat. And lo and behold, we found the Pepper’s Cafe. And holy cow, their Peppercorns are INCREDIBLE. That place is no joke and EASILY one of the best and most special places we’ve stumbled across in Japan so far. Tetsu and Yoko and so sweet and took care of us so well, it was wonderful to meet them. If you are in Tsukiji, this shop is a must try. Their pizza and cola is out of this world, and the peppercorns are too. Thank you Paolo for the amazing recommendation, it was wonderful to come across such a special place from your wonderful country. ;)
