Papa is actually a really down to earth dude, he got some bad press and his own company kicked him out for trying to help the players make change and use his weight as their pizza sponsor to do that from the outside. He was trying to be a champion and his own crew turned on him.

I think people need to get over it. Papa john is perfectly capable of telling ethan himself, and was not bothered by Ethan in the slightest. Contrast this to Neil Degrasse Tyson in the recent podcast with Joe Rogan. You can actually see the strain on Joe's face when Neil interrupts him.

Anyone that counteroffers and the team doesn’t deem it a necessary expense, they will give a final offer, which they did and he refused. Not the NFL’s fault that he was being stubborn. Gotta remember that he was still VERY young and not as mature as people like to imagine, even if you think he was taking an educated or uneducated approach to making a stand against violence toward black ppl by police. That isn’t blackmail. That’s not blacklisting or blackballing. That is strictly business.

Because Ethan is FAR to emotional when talking about Papa. She knew that going in as soon as the scheduled him. She knew she would have to take over and be serious. Ethan is not good at interviewing important people, hes too self interested and doesnt have self control over his urge to speak as soon as a thought pops up. It's why joe Rogan is the champion, he knows when to let the other person talk. Ethan, let's be honest, he doesnt interview people, he has a one sided discussion. Goes into every interview closed minded and forces to guest to do all the work to change it. Used to be a fan, but honestly after getting onto other podcasts, ethan is not to be mean, but hes just not good at this. He should sit where Hila is and let her take over.

Also, when Ethan asked Papa if he thought he was the "Jesus Christ of pizza" Papa was even like "What kind of question is that". I think you are 100% right though. I think he was just super nervous having such a high profile guest on the show that he didnt want to mess it up for both him and Papa's sake.
