My nana would make this when I'd go to her house after school in 6th grade. It was technically cream of wheat, but made like this, poured onto a plate, with a hefty sprinkle of granulated sugar on top. Yum!

Enjoyed this recipe Michael. My mother used to make a version of this to settle our stomachs or as a special treat when we were little. She would toast the flour in the pan to give it a nutty flavor, add slurry of flour, milk, lemon peel and pinch of salt and serve it hot. She spread thinly on a large plate, with a little bit of butter, and brown sugar sprinkled on top. It was thinner texture than yours. Not sure if she used cinnamon. I think she might have used Maizena corn starch sometimes. It was delicious. You’ve inspired me to find the recipe and try it out
