You're right. I would have liked to do so. But at the time I was unable and had no equipment or programming to do so. But! Now I do and the planning is in the works for another video! Also, what kind of videos do you make? If you have a preferred method for doing overlay yourself I'd be glad to hear any tips you have!
@kellye20135 жыл бұрын
Great; I really look forward to seeing your future videos on my subscribed feed. I prefer to not overlay whenever possible. Check out some misc audio filters/focus peripherals (especially shotgun mic hoods) and if there is half decent background ambiance, you'll be surprised how much post production = unnecessary. Funny enough, I crafted some for a few handheld cheap-o camcorders which worked better than recent purchases! No doubt you'd come up with something superior still. Things as simple as propped up particle board donning a few draped comforters flanking close behind the camera, and tons of the background noise cancels out. After drudging through Audio design in university, my take away was the same as visual arts. Tech in production needs a specialist, or to be the center of production. Like any other "medium&substrate" I suppose. Honestly, some productions utilize sfx, music, & visual flare to effectuate a supplementary stimulant; montage soundtracks for example. However, the best content, in my little opinion, comes from those who open monologue within the breadth of some project and give glimpse into the taste of lonely "craft crazed" ramblings. Feels cathartic to hear someone's hr 3 knitting ramble and know you aren't the only one who thinks silly things far before the arthritis kicks in. anyhoo. I am sure you have format reasons for preferring the post production method. Truth: If pressed to edit audio, I'd be a shill and go adobe aftereffects if anything is on the table. Most knock offs are similar interface-wise. drop & crop on time bars. Scrub and dub til it's beautimus. All happy! Trick: spend a day with junk audio, video mixes and PLAY with whatever you settle on. Deadlines and masterpieces are NOT where the joy of discovery lend insight through tribulations. Whatever can be done, you can too! Your videos will be wonderful.

This would have been so much more helpful if you showed how you made the actual bunny base cause that's the most difficult part; its easy to build and mold clay if most of the structure is done already :/ The link helped a little, but the base of that mask was most linear (they added the curves later with clay), and a bunny's face has more curves. The base sadly is the most difficult part.

Can i make toilet clay without using joint compound?
@downloadsdownloads55255 жыл бұрын
Okay so I really want to make this myself for a couple of Halloween parties next month because this is really cool so I have a few questions: 1) How much did all of the materials cost overall? 2) How much previous experience with sculpting did you have before starting this project and do you think it would be doable for a complete beginner? 3) What grades of paper did you use for the sanding of the mask? 4) What was the substance you sprayed on the tooling leather to make it hold its shape? 5) Did you use a reference image to make sure the features of the rabbit face were all proportional or did you go by eye? Any guidance you've got would be greatly appreciated, but if you don't have the time or can't answer, take my comment as an expression of appreciation. This is really neat. Well done Edit: I also realise this was posted a year ago so I completely understand if there's a lot you don't remember

Hi Downloads! I have all the answers to your questions! 1. Less than $20 most expensive thing here is the time. 2. I'd say I'm a intermediate sculptor. I'm not a professional, or at the level to sculpt atomically correct. So I think, so long as you have good references a beginner could totally do this! 4. Water! Tooling leather goes soft when water is added! And hardens as it dries! 5. I did use a reference of a jackrabbit head during the sculpting. But I strayed alot off of it going for a look I liked alot. Thank you so much for your questions and the Interest!

I'm sorry, I have a lot of questions. Is toilet paper the best to use, or is normal printer paper or news paper a good substitute? Would I be able to use very watered down paints on similar masks without issue? What was the all purpose stuff that you used, and is it nessessary to make the paper clay? If so, where can I get it? Since I want to do a skull mask for a costume, how would I go about the little details, like tiny scratches? Use a little knife, or would they just be there already from the sanding? Also, how durable is it?
@inktherabbit14144 жыл бұрын
Hi PIzza~ All questions are good questions! i used toilet paper, as that's what the recipie i found called for. its shreddable and water absorbency is what you're after. if you're gonna substitute I'd think newsprint might work well if it's shredded and soaked in a tub or bucket in water overnight. Yes! the watered down paint should be fine. I used a basic acrylic straight out of the tub. but once the clay is dry its perfectly safe for painting the all purpose stuff is joint compound. Basically wall Spackle! I got this at my local Walmart, its in the paint section with wall repair stuff, and in my honest opinion its necessary for binding the paper into a heavier clay. I'd recommend using it. I also used a thin layer of the stuff to smooth the surface of the mask because I wanted a super smooth finish. it sands nicely, and takes detail well. For little details I recommend sanding them into the piece. If you use the joint compound you can carve into it on the surface and it'll show up well. if you carve into the clay once it's dry, it should have no issues showing up. But be aware, without sanding the paperclay can be rough. and EXTREMELY durable. I have dropped, banged, and generally abused this mask. it really really holds up. thanks for you questions and i hope this helps!
