GourmetPaperMache Hey! I really like your sculptures, ı wanna make a gift for my friend with your style but ı had some questions about eye. Where did you get (or how did you do) the little transparent domes for eye and what type of paint you use? Thanks!
@Gourmetpapermache7 жыл бұрын
I buy my eyes from taxidermy companies. The ones in this video were "blanks", just the glass so you can paint your own. You get them from the same companies. If you google you can find all of these companies. Good luck! Dan

I am Brazilian, I do not know the materials you use, you tell me? (That tape you use, the material that coats the mouth, and what makes the teeth and horns) please!

@marcelodcs18 жыл бұрын

+Carlos Alex I use "masking tape" to sculpt. The "skin" on the outside, and inside the mouth, is cloth (bed sheets) dipped in white all-purpose glue. Teeth and horns are made from Fimo, a polymer clay.

@DanielTimberwolf8 жыл бұрын
The masterful artistry of this description is at the very least cathartic to watch. Regardless of watching this footage it still is problematic to fathom that the simplicity of the employed components can accrue to a creation of such magnitude. I can only vaguely surmise the amount of time and effort that went into this footage, and for that I thank you. Incidentally it is disquieting to see an ethereal creature in the format of a "taxidemized mount", bu then again, there is really no objective harm done in this instance. Bloody hell what I would not give to be the privileged guardian of a masterpiece of such caliber, for yes, this sort of treasure is to be guarded and preserved, not merely owned.
@Gourmetpapermache8 жыл бұрын
+Daniel Timberwolf Thank you for your remarks Daniel. Of course part of the reason I make a trophy is because I can make it large. I couldn't make a full sized dragon with a head this big. PS. I'm making a full dragon for my next commission, but smaller.
@DanielTimberwolf8 жыл бұрын
Yes, yes I realize the constraints of size vs composition, I was merely deferring to the similarity to actual taxidermy, which is utterly distasteful; this knowing full well that was not the intention. Cannot wait to see what comes next, it is truly a treat.
@Gourmetpapermache8 жыл бұрын
+Daniel Timberwolf I couldn't agree more about taxidermy. I assure you that no living thing was hurt in the making of this project. Thank you again for your comments!
