Not just Fiery Jinx, but Shade Fist can still burn enemies even if the punch doesn't do damage. It's how I've beaten Koopatrols that hide inside of their shells, and keep Elite Wizzerds from staying cloned if I don't boost her attack.

goombella is far from useless, tattle still grants great SP regen on stylishes without having to worry about 0 damage penalties, and rally wink is still an extra mario turn. i’d argue she’s one of the more powerful partners, both in early and late game

Mrs Mowz would be a great team member... if you got her earlier. Like, WAY earlier. In chapter 2 or 3. Mostly because of stealing badges. That's her real gimmick, but by the time you get it it's usually so late game that you've passed over half the badges you'll ever see. The remake really blew their chance to make her recruitable as early as chapter 3 (after you met her in the pit). Taking the mission from the help desk could simply open the wall rather than require a bomb, then you already have Flurry so everything lines up. It would go a long way to having her be reasonable.

Yea. Making her available after or even during chapter 3 would have been a good idea. Although, come to think of it, you lose all your partners for most of chapter 4 anyway... and I don't remember if Glitzvill enemies can have badges... so IDK, maybe, maybe not. Also, you don't need Bobbery to get Mowz. Bobbery is used to get the Up Arrow in Hooktail's fortress, which is used to get Ultra Rank partners. Just need Flurrie and Post chapter 3 trouble quest for Mowz

There is one challenge you could do with Ms. Mowz that would make her useful: no shopping at stores. You can only use items and badges that come from blocks, chests, and battles. You can use Kiss Thief to take them away from enemies directly. And before someone says Item Hog, no, it does not guarantee any items and badges held by enemies in battle will be dropped afterwards.

another thing about superguards is that the iron clefts are immune to them, so for this challenge to work they have to be immune to superguards too. 1:34 well, items are... also ignored by them 8:27 even the parts where bowser has to platform around enemies that he can normally kill? >:( I recall getting decent use out of Ms. Mowz in some half-way Pit runs (since my original intention in the remake was to do a new run of the Pit every chapter or two where I went 20 levels deeper, only to realize I was severely overlevelling) but that also might be because I didn't remember Flower Finder being so goated for the Pit (I wasn't gonna grind my special power up to spam Sweet Treats for Smooch that'd've taken forever! I mean I think I had to do something similar sometimes for an even earlier run but yeah Ms. Mowz was convenient at least. Definitely the worst regardless) masked dedede :D of course ttyd is a jrpg it's a Japanese turn-based RPG...

32:21 Yes, actually. Because even though you can use sweet treat to get your FP back, If you are out of SP and FP. You're out of luck. So if you have insufficent SP and FP, Mouz would be extremely useful for specifically this challenge. That way, you can damage enemies while you are appealing to the crowd.

When I did my first playthrough of this game recently, I completely forgot about the badge shop after I'm sure the game told me about it lol... I didn't revisit that shop until after I had beaten the game. I did the pit of 100 trials at the end of chapter 6 as well as beat prince mush after the pit. Then went to finish the game. Now there's the post game stuff but the new Zelda is out so, I'm playing that now lol.
