It absolutely blows my mind that this guy can beat the entire game with all pause menu conditions at 100% in about the same amount of time it takes me to beat like 2 chapters without even trying to get all the badges, recipes, etc

I only JUST beat Chapter 5 in the remake and even then I took longer than this guy did. Maybe I would have shaved off a few minutes if there were text speed options. Seriously, how does a game in 2024 NOT have that?! Edit: I also miss the 60FPS.

I'll bet that in the remake, the Black Chests will speak using the sound effects that others of their original species use when speaking. Like The Wise Goomba's Black Chest will use a sound fx similar to the one that plays when Goombella speaks. Until you unlock the chest, of course.

This run gives Mario a training arc I just realized. An underdog in the little leagues, seeing how far he had to go he realized something had to change. Mario looking inwards realized, it was he who had to change. So he set out on a journey walking far and wide until he discovered a pit a mighty pit, full of trials and tribulations. Filled with jubilation Mario set his sights on the 100th floor. After countless hours of training, and fighting, he finally succeeded in the pit. Mario arrises a new man, stronger than before, faster than before. Can he take the big leagues or will his training be for naught. I have no clue where that came from just pulled it out of thin air.

It seems to stop at 4:06:06, as soon as he starts the Twilight Town chapter. Maybe the background noises get reset because the sound of the bell is plot relevant?
