This is Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door!
The game everyone loves and loves to tell you about how much they love it. If you've been here for a while you might have noticed we like it quite a bit too. Though usually our playthroughs are some kind of challenge run where we skip all text to get to the gameplay. BUT NOT THIS TIME!
This playthrough is part of our out of order conquest to casually relive all Paper Mario games, together with my co-comm Lenny! Just in time for the remake to get a good feel of what's changed from a more casual perspective!
Like usual; if there's any cool secrets, obscure or funny dialogue and details you know about, be sure to tell us in the comments or on Discord. I know a lot about this game, but I don't know literally everything! Also I might just forget certain things.

4:06 Mario's _Mustache_ actually is Black in most depictions, despite his hair being Brown. Paper Mario is the exception where his Mustache is much closer to his hair color. Except for PM64, where he very clearly has a Black Mustache and Brown hair.

I love the Jabbies, they're weird and cute. Also, nice of Pine T. Sr. to not open the giant treasure chest at floor 10 of the Pit despite going there for money.

Keep an eye out for the machine at the end of the upcoming Chapter 3! It has a big hole in it, hiding in plain sight. The background is busy enough that it's hard to notice, which is maybe why the developers overlooked it. I am curious, though. Anybody else notice it before?

Man I hope the TTYD remake adds the I Spy badge, these floor panels are ridiculous

They already have confirmed that you can flip them with a hammer strike, so at least they might be found earlier, unless they need a hammer upgrade for that.

Unfortunately, it seems we won't get I Spy. There's a screenshot of the badge collection floating around showing that there a 86 badges in total. That is one more than the original but that is already confirmed to be the Nostalgic Tunes Badge. Guess we'll just have to rely on Mowz still. I hope they at least add individual trackers for the locations in the menu. Only having the total displayed at the pit is pretty annoying.

Don Piantas german name is "Al Palmone" which is a nice mix of Al Capone and "Palma" the german name for the Piantas. Francescas german name on the other hand is as lazy as it gets with "Palmina". Frankies german name "Romanzo" is pretty good imo. Pine T. sr's german name is "T. Rottel" which just means idiot :D

You know, as a kid I always thought the boo store keeper and casino worker were putting their hands on their hips in this sassy pose but only now did I realize they just have normal boo hands with cufflinks on. Same with the toad shop keepers I thought their mustaches were mouths so they were making this perpetual AAAAAAAAH face. Now that I look at it. Is Ishnail's eyes coming out of his hat and those shades are for show?
