Thank you for this video. I wanted to try art journaling, but I am not really an artist. I have watched several videos about it and read some blogs. Your video was most helpful because you didn't simply slap some paint or goop here and there and say, "now isn't that nice?" But you said what you looked to achieve by using that item. I tend to buy art things thst I don't know how to use. I am thankful that you have explained some things. I look forward to future videos

Beautiful page. I have maybe 150 different packages of napkins, mostly from Tuesday Morning, and love to use them for card and journal backgrounds. I also have books of old sheet music. I see a journal page in my near future!! Occasionally I work directly in my journals, but I really prefer working outside of the journal and attaching it as you did. It definitely saves on those OOPS moments when you're afraid you've ruined other pages in the book. Really good video with some good ideas!!!

Another winner!! I enjoy watching your process and the things you “say” about it during the video too. I see that the watercolor paper is 9x12, but the journal you tape your page into is 8.5x 5.5. I was really surprised at how well that bright napkin turned out -- did you buy those napkins for your art journal or for home? I ask because I never would have bought them and it turned out beautifully and I think I limit my self too much sometimes. I really liked how the crackle with the stain turned out and I haven't tried that yet. I've been skipping your videos of late in favor of Christmas cards I'm afraid and here I am start of November a bit sick of Christmas cards! Hi there, Yes, I'm excited about everything in this video. I ordered some crackle paste from your link. I had some crackle craft stuff that never seemed to work, but from the look of the stuff you used (thick), it will work properly and well. Yay, I can't wait. I'm in the midst of a big move, but I would like to join your facebook group when I'm settled. It sounds like such a lovely supportive group to be a part of. When I saw your page in the beginning of the video, I thought it was a journal cover. It certainly could be! So I think when I get my crackle medium I will do just that, cover one of the 3 journals I'm painting in now that don't have a cover yet. I love your page if you didn't get that already, lol. I also love how you do some of your pages on a separate piece of paper and then attach it to a journal page when done. On another link of yours I ordered a black notebook, and some 5X7 strathmore watercolor paper (25 pages) so I can do that. I've been thinking of doing that, yet didn't get to it till I saw your videos recently. I love how you stain the crackle areas then seal them. Pretty much every step was exciting to watch and the result: dyno-mite!! Jane
