I've done a lot of floating tea cups. With both hot glue and E6000. They have both come apart on me over time. So now I'm on the hunt for a better glue to hold and not come apart.

I'd rather use florals and just enough ribbon or bows. I've seen some wreaths with way too many bows and it took away from the beautiful mesh. You never overdue. Love the floating tea cup/fairy. It's lovely.

I am making a coffee cup version!! Putting coffee beans down the fork!! I am using a 70s brown coffee cup with a matching saucer (if all goes well i will be making a pink and string Pearl one!) I have watched alot of tutorials on KZbin and Pinterest and what peeves me off is these people just glue it down the fork and the cup and then they proceeded to glue the attachments and it's not that easy I personally started with the fork and the amount of glue that I had to use is ridiculous I used hot glue Gorilla Glue and as well clear Gorilla Glue and I have a candle propping it up to make it stay in place and I believe it will have to dry probably overnight so these people just gluing in it down and then proceeding to put decorations on they must have edited the video or something because there's no way I have also seen people use wire but I didn't feel like that was a good foundation for the cup myself it may be better I don't know but thank you for your tutorial and I'm waiting on my glue to dry watching you

I have seen some with the fork tines in the cup and handle glued in saucer right in the middle. Also a bread and butter plate under the saucer gives some extra stability.

So cute..I want to try to make some with the mix match cups and saucers on the property...Oh and I noticed you struggling with getting the caps off your glues..if you will put some Vaseline around the top of them and then cap them..you will never have to use pliers again to get the caps off..they will come off very easily with just your hands..

@@paperdreamer1 You are very welcome..I struggled with it myself for a long time..then one lady that I watch her videos all the time made the comment to put vaseline on all your glue bottles and tubes and they won't seal up. She is so right..I even do this to my paint containers...it works awesome...

Some of the other ones on u tube help balance with a bowl on the saucer so they are using cup, saucer and bowl.

Catherine Hall You really need a stronger glue then you can get with a glue gun. I used Gorilla glue along with my glue gun. Then let it dry overnight.

Next time, use coffee to wash your hands. Mixed with dish soap...basiclly a coffee hand scrub. Had to do that, because I've gotten gorrila glue, all over my hands one.time. And that's whT I had to do. #coffeescrub 😂

Once the fork is glued onto the saucer, try bending the fork all the way back to the other side of saucer, or bend before gluing to saucer, then glue the cup onto the fork so the flowers will flow down the back of the fork handle, that might help with the balance issue. Have not tried this, so just a thought!!

No, it is all about balance. The angle of the fork is what is wrong. LOL
