@DanMonsterMan - If I made something I'll let you know!! I started claying past spring and made a small (15 inch buddha relief) which turned out quite well. Now I'd like to work with papier mache as well. Something simple. I love your dragons (especially the couple!!) but they're a bit challenging for a beginner.

In any case, a very creative project :) Yes, the kitties! I had a cat I loved dearly for 8 years, her name was "Simbita".. whenever I would sit on the floor to work on homework, she would come by and, ever so gently, lay down over my homework.. she seems to have loved the texture.. cardboard boxes were another favorite, she would go bonkers playing in them! :) I will miss her. We live in an apartment complex, and used to take her out on a harness to enjoy the grass, but the landlord put rat poison, and never even told us- although he knew we took her out on the grass. We had to put her to sleep. I'm not having another pet until we have a safe house of our own. But I know she was loved. One has to treasure them while they're here.

I'm thinking of making papier maché heads for a burning man inspired festival this summer, but for wearing and walking around messing with people :) Approximately how long did this take you, and how long do you think it would take for someone who has never worked with papier maché before?

+Adam Nilsson Hello Adam. That would be a very different kind of project. Much more involved. It takes me a couple months to make a piece. It would take at least that long I would imagine for someone else to make something. But I don't really know. To many variables to consider. Just leave yourself plenty of time to work. Good luck!
