@Corbin Moore Who said Boba Fett died? In the legends continuum, where Kotor takes place, Boba escapes the Sarlac and eventually becomes Mandalore. Last I remember reading, he couldn't return to the planet of Mandalore because of an Imperial nanovirus attack. In the Kotor universe, he's alive. In the actual main canon universe, Disney is kind of likewise alluding to him being alive. Sarlac doesn't kill you instantly...its stomach injects you with nutrients to keep you alive while it digests you over a thousand years. The idea is that Jabas barge crashed in to the pit, killing the Sarlac and exposing it. Jawas came by and cut it open to loot the contents of its stomach. It hasn't been officially confirmed, but they talk about it in one of the new books.

Surik: "Did you love me?" Kreia: "I would have killed the galaxy to preserve you. I would have let the galaxy die" That's just so heartwrenching to hear from a mentor. Even after Kreia got me on my nerves nitpicking every choice I made, criticizing every possible solution I had to any individual problem, at the cave in Korriban I chose to save her from my companions. Sith or not, redeemable or not, she and I had a bond. Through that bond, I could feel the Force again. And in the Force she instructed me, to be the best version of myself I could be: If I wanted to be altruistic, to know when, how and why. If I wanted to be cruel, to not be so gratuitously. If I wanted to be a Jedi, to be able to see their failures, not past them. If I wanted to be a Sith, to be able to master the power, and not to let it take a hold of me. And then, she turns and betrays me, when a need her guidance the most. The one time I felt so moved was with the MGS3 ending, and that tried to be a tear-jerker. This, without anything but dialog and an incredible voice actress, just moved me to tears. Because I loved Kreia too. Because I too would have killed the galaxy to preserve her.

He was imprisoned. A Sith named Lord Scourge used him in a power ploy, and Meetra Surik (aka the Exile/the player character from KOTOR2) tracked him down to free him, only to be betrayed by Scourge when they confronted the Sith Emperor. Revan was imprisoned again and spent hundreds of years locked in a battle of wills with the Sith Emperor, trying to keep his power in check. Eventually he would be freed by the Hero of Tython, who would go on to slay the Emperor's physical form. Revan would leave and form a new Order, using old Rakatan technology to build an army, but he would be stopped by an alliance of Republic and Sith forces alike, who had banded together to fight against the new forces of the old Sith Emperor.

Mical does say he recognizes her and that "not even the markings of the dark side could hide who she was". She easily messes up with his mind, though, because as she says his mind is weaker than the others as he is "too open and too trusting" and thus "all his thoughts of her will slip away from his mind like water". Atton is immune to all of that. She isn't even capable of reading his mind for a very long time.

@@JayL- An interesting perspective, although Kreia didn't plan to blackmail Atton lest he become a significant obstacle. When imprisoned on Telos she just caught on to how nervous he was inside what he thought was a Jedi academy. Returning back here with more of the story. Their warrior culture DID end up being the end of them, Mandalorians returned to the warrior code to resist the empire, and for that Mandalor is destroyed, it's people slaughtered its culture nearly eradicated.
@bardockmou2 жыл бұрын
@@kazmark_gl8652 But without that warrior culture, they are not mandalorians. To be a Mandalorian you have to follow the Resol'nare as to be a Jedi is to follow the Jedi Code. Thatswhy with Jango we can talk about the death of the Mandalorians, he rejects the Mandalorian way ,being Mand'alor, after his defeat at the hands of Dooku and the other jedis, so even if in his dead he is using a mando armor, he was a dar´manda. And in the Disney canon we can see, that in fact was the perservation of the warrrior ways that allow the Mandalorians to survive, as culture, as one and in the end returning to reclaim their home.

I come back and I look at kotor 2... There was so much to know about the game than I thought. I thought that kotor 1 was better, but when I looked at the analysis behing Kreia, I was absolutely wrong. Kreia is an outstanding character and she challenges both the light and the dark side. Even the grey jedi are challenged even though she may be classified as one. Kotor 2 is probably one of my favourite games because that game pays attention to detail and I am shocked by the amount of knowledge that I have missed. Don't get me wrong, the other characters are amazing, (even the characters from the first kotor game), but she is incredibly knowledgeable and I should applaud the writers for this much content.

Ironically I think that part about nothing being left of the Mandalorians besides their code sets up The Mandalorian pretty well, despite being in a separate canon. I mean, so much of their history and culture that was set up in Clone Wars and Rebels has been lost that the only way to even recognize the Tribe as Mandalorians are the code, or "the creed," and their armor.
@agustinbaletti2 жыл бұрын
Thinking about the implications of Book of Boba Fett’s reveal about The Night of a Thousand Tears were we see how the empire obliterated Mandalore, i think that was the end of the end. The “death that would last millenia” were the Millenia of peace in which Mandalorians destroyed themselves in petty wars between each faction, culminating in the Mandalorian Civil War and the rule of peace and neutrality that Satine brought. That period of peace under Satine was part of the death of Mandalore. The final nail in the coffin is the bombing of Sundari and the almost complete genocide of the population, but that was the end of the end. Now, under Mando, Bo, Satine and many others, a new era arises. A new Mandalore is in the horizon.
@wittyreviewer2 жыл бұрын
Considering Dinn is headed to Mandalore, to a part of it that's ancient and sacred, I'd applaud the writers if he found the Helm of Mandalore. He really is the perfect fit, a firm believer in the code and traditions that made their ancestors great, that made them so feared that even when squabbling amongst themselves the Empire still decided to wipe them out. Revan's instructions to Canderous still hold true, when the true darkness comes the galaxy will need the Mandalorians.
@vectorfox4782 Жыл бұрын
@@wittyreviewer well said. With what you implied, we can only surmise that once Mandalore is restored, the true darkness will reveal itself, and it will be either Vitiate, or Darth Nihilus that’ll resurrect. Perhaps both. There will be an inevitable end to the force, and Kreia will be redeemed.

Kreia is the wisest from a certain pov. She wanted to free the SW universe from an all-encompassing energy that causes an endless cycle of events at the cost of countless lives. Her methods were extreme, but I don't think there was any other way. Plageuis was obsessed with the scientific aspects of the Force, granting him intelligence over wisdom. He forgot he was still a Bane-era Sith, and thus died a failure. Yoda was old and wise in the ways of the Jedi, but he wasn't someone you turned to for personal advice due to his Jedi teachings.

I'd argue that Yoda wasn't really all that wise, nor are really any of the Jedi. Even Obi-Wan as Ben Kenobi isn't all that wise.
