Still have my lid, (steel), C.S.P.E.P, SLR and M16 cleaning kits, (spare gas plug inc. ;-) ), S6, smock and the "laundry bag" to chuck your 'chute into. Always remember how bloody quiet it was after the exit. Except for the occasional, "Steer away", and various other expletives. Best job I ever had.

We in South Africa have had the exact same training, as our founders members came to England in 1960 to be trained and become instructors who founded 1 Parachute Batalion in South Africa . We were 60 years old this year on 1st of April and we still train the same today.

Hey Gaz, I was all over the place in sticks. A couple of times I was No.1 in the door as I was 2 IC driver, so he was No.1 on the other side. Didn't last long though. Told them to get me away from the pr*ck or they'd be short of a flight leuey.

Gaz, we're you on the jump with Pickey, where he puked so much when we were going low level through Wales, that they stopped him jumping? He was proper green! Port stick. I can remember the puke flowing past my feet, thinking this isn't going to end well. 🤣

I saw “Troll” there! I was a Multiple Commander in West Belfast in 93/94 in 40 Cdo Rm…he was attached to my multiple as a Dog Handler for several weeks in our location. Despite the “rivalry”we loved him & his Working Dog which was a Spaniel at the time & looked after them both on the ground as they went about their business . Too bloke & a legend. He came to the unit run ashore in Taunton when we got home…the lads loved him. Utrinque Paratus - Per Mare Per Terram
