You need to reach 100k points at the parade for the achievement. You were so close! Tips : You can hit "pause" and "retry" in the middle of any event in the game if you feel like you did bad the first time.

I believe it's not enough to get 100k, I've seen another playthrough reach that amount and still fail to get the commendation. It's something to do with the perfect combos too.

​@@taddensetlie I was talking about the achievement only. You need to score 100.000 points to unlock the Stealing the Show trophy. Multiple sources as well as my own experience confirm this. However, performing exceptionnally well is another thing that nets you a commendation and relation ship points with both girls.

And it wouldn't be improved by adding "wacky" things. Things you consider detriments could be the selling point to someone else. I'm in the minority, but I've always liked water temples the most in Legend of Zelda games.

34:29 😂 Maggie wanting ALL the plushies! Erika Harlacher-Stone is the VA for Kyrie. I think she did a great job and the song was a fun touch by SquareEnix. Little sister vibes is definitely fitting for Kyrie 😂 The reason you still don’t have Blizzara on Cloud yet is because the thing about those two type Magic Materia (Fire and Ice/Wind and Thunder/Poison and Petrify) is they require more AP to raise them. They’re nice because you have access to multiple elements, and when paired with certain materia against certain monsters they auto cast the monster types weakness. Still if you want to get the next level, having it slotted with the AP up Materia would be more beneficial. I gave Aerith all of those since she’s the strongest Magic user, and gave the others a specific element that levels up faster, but obviously it’s all up to how you want to build your characters cause there’s multiple ways to do it and none of them are wrong. 50:11 Mr Dolphin was in the original but the mini game for Rebirth is more fun imo 😂 There was version of the Parade mini game in the OG as well, but Rebirth definitely improved the mini game for this one as well.

Okay, you started to delve into a particular topic of interest of mine a little after the 25:30 mark. Particularly because I love the philosophy of Soren Kierkegaard. One of his pithiest quotes goes, anxiety is the dizziness of freedom. He's talking about the dizziness of possibility and especially that you can lose yourself in the inability to make a decision. He has more stuff on the topic but I at least had to say that much. There's a really great quote from him that's basically like, go ahead and make a decision because you will always regret the option you don't choose. Anyway... I don't know what I'm doing. That just caused my ears to perk up for a sec. And I'm loving these videos. So good.

I can personally confirm that manipulating a fire arm the way that drill teams do is incredibly difficult. Especially if they are real weapons with the proper weight. However once you get the maneuvers down, it is awesome! I absolutely loved the Junon mini-game, I was smiling the entire time

Here- Shinra soldiers are very different than being a SOLDIER of Shinra. Special Operations and Legionnaire Division for Infused Elite Regulars. Basically, anyone can be a Shinra soldier, but only the best of the best and cream of the crop can be selected to be a part of SOLDIER. There are also much fewer of them. SOLDIER has three distinct classes. They are also Mako infused which gives them inherit abilities and bolsters their talents. Something normal people don't posses. The three ranks are 1st , 2nd, and 3rd. With every advancement in rank comes skill and power. Not to mention, perks. The higher up the totem pole, the more independence a SOLDIER has in their own unique fighting style and expression. Though this one detail was changed for the remake. IDK why.

NOTE: Sephiroth is technically first class, but think of first class having a vast spectrum of differing talent. Cloud was "First class" but his level of skill was far, far less than Sephiroth. Sephiroth should have been in a class of his own, and except for on paper, was.

Actually I think you should re-listen to the conversation. Apparently, there's people within Wutai that specifically conspired with the former President to manufacture a new war. What's more, it is a means to an end, a goal, that both sides had. Rufus however stated that while he planned to uphold Shinra's role in the global politics and this plan for conflict, Rufus said he had other reasons and intentions, "a new vision is required". It was an intensely political conversation of lies, misdirects, and underhanded meanings. What this also points out is that Shinra isn't explicitly bad... it's gray, and Wutai isn't explicitly good, it's also gray. It's also worth noting that despite Rufus's speech in the OG, Rufus is a character of fronts, lies and deception, in a game where everyone has them. When Barret puts up a front, he puts on glasses. Cloud pretends he is cool and doesn't care when he does. Jessie pretends to be fun going, when she's really self doubting and constantly worried. Etc.

Don't forget, Aerith's Tempest attack does wind damage. I played OG and the remake + intergrade only, but am aware of some of the lore from other games, and no clue who Glenn is. I think he's from Ever Crisis, no clue. I personally think he looks like the love child of Cloud and President Shinra.

Glen is from the mobile game, FFVII Ever Crisis and has never appeared before it. That game has not caught up its story to the point of seeing Rufus’s flashback with him, so we are all in the dark :)

This chapter is so important to deepening the layers of the story. Imagine if Yuffie did manage to assassinate Rufus, after all we've just seen? The people love him, and Shinra. And they aren't bad people, they are just normal people living in a prosperous - but fragile - time, and they want to hold on to their security and their faith in the power they follow. To blow that all up would only further cement people's view of Avalanche as evil terrorists, and it would get them no closer to saving the planet or its people. It makes the group's goals and decisions so much more weighty, so much more complex. It's fantastic writing.

In the original, the uniform part made more sense, since Cloud is already dressed in Shinra SOLDIER gear. It is then while walking through a nearby hallway on his way to help his friends up the elevator(Because they are still stranded below Junon) that a nearby captain grabs him as he is walking by, and tells him to hurry up and suit up. he assumes Cloud is already a part of shinra. Even makes a remark as to why he is wearing those "old rags". Also, the others in the party don't disguise themselves in the main parade with Cloud at all. They only suit up after until you do. I get why they did the change, it's for a more comedic effect and to drag out a part that wasn't as long. But, the original made more sense in the way it fell into place. They wouldn't just have a locker room access to the public like that without being guarded. At least, not until the parade started.

This was one of my favourtie parts in this game. It was so funny, so suprising and so damn cool. Also.. I really enjoy the was this game is handling his world. At one point you can move around the open world parts and do all the sidequests (It's good that it tells you, if you can't backtrack for some time, so you have the chance to do all the stuff you wanna do before) and then it leads you through more straight forward areas and more main quests. Just to add mini games and such little fun things, which makes it so much fun tu play and watch. For me the pacing is really good! And it was so much fun watching you experience this, getting excited and thinking about all the possibile outcomes. I did not play the OG either, so it's exciting for me to see your reaction and to listen to your thoughts on this. Now I am watching the next part right ahead! :)

What I also want to say, just because it's fun; Final Fantasy has some traditional tropes. That actually belongs to the last video, sorry^^' For example, several Final Fantasies had (a) Biggs and (a) Wedge who have been a dynamic duo, mostly soldiers of some sort. And the four armed Warrior at the end of the Fort Condor Questline? My favorite re-occuring character in the entire series 🥰 They didn't drop his name, so I won't either, but I really hope we see him again 🙏🏻 He is always as goofy as you saw him, so more comedy relief rather than someone important. Like Johnny. But he has his little Cameos since FF5, always in search for the ultimate blade and strong opponents. He isn't very good at this, but he survives, like Team Rocket 😋 So yes, Biggs, Wedge, Cactors, Tomberrys, Chocobos... Some are staff, and it really adds to the nostalgia in my opinion.

If you want to develop a deep relationship with Tifa, any time the game asks you to choose something, choose the side that Tifa is on, if everyone's relationship is tied, the game will break the tie through key choices during the game

So to answer your questions; yes Mr. Dolphin is in the original game, yes you can win the first award you need a score 100k, and Glenn you wouldn't know he is from the mobile games, he was one of the original Soldiers, and sort of friend and mentor to a young sephiroth. There will be another character you'll meet later you also won't know who is from Crisis Core. I won't spoil but she is really cool.

I'm already over 170 hours playing this game, I'm a minigame conisour and a completionist and always try to do everything and there's so much hidden stuff in this game I'm sure it'll take me another 100 hours to find it all without using a guide. One of the tips for mini games that took me a while of struggling to figure out (because I don't read instructions and played without haptic feedback) there are mini games that were made with haptic in mind and I really recommend turning it on or up to strong in your controller settings so you can feel what kind of input the game wants I said I'll wait till I beat hard before I watched your playthrough, but I couldn't wait 😂 Take your time and enjoy yourself. The only other tip I can think to give is to make sure to save your game regularly as the autosave does not save the sidequest progress (until its fully complete) and if you step away or close game without saving you might have to redo it

You have the correct set up and yes, as you initially said, you will need 100k+ to win the commendation. It is definitely achievable, even with some errors. From memory I think you had 93k, so just another 7k and you're set! I got it on my third attempt.

Per region you can buy every materia from Chadley, each region has its own "Chadley Currency" so don't worry on saving up for later,!

1:02:59 So just a fact Glenn Lodbrok is a new character, though technically this is his first appearance in the Final Fantasy 7 main story he actually made his first appearance a few months ago in the mobile game Final Fantasy 7 Ever Crisis. Ever Crisis is a different take on a remake of the Final Fantasy 7 compilation including the original game and Crisis Core using designs from this remake games and also updated versions of the original games miniature style (chibi) and will also include instalments for Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus, but it also introduced an entirely new entry into the series called the First Soldier. Now to be clear First Soldier was a failed battle royal mobile game that came out 3 years ago however in Ever Crisis the background lore is explored and the gameplay is changed to fit in with the other game instalments, it is in First Soldier that you are first introduced to a younger Glenn Lodbrok and get his background as well as getting to see and play as a much younger Sephiroth in the early days of SOLDIER. While the mobile game is not overly exciting it does give some new background for all characters and as you now see gives important information for some newly added characters in the remake games.

At the weapons menu you can press the touch pad button (the one you use to access the map) and you'll be able to organize the materia for ALL your characters at the same time (use Triangle button to swap between characters) this will make it easier and better to assign it to everybody :D

About your questions: this is the first time we saw Glenn. Yes, we had a dolphin mini game in the original (it was awful). Sailor Barret was in the Og, but very different than here. Honestly the way they adapted and expanded Juno’s was incredible. Next episode will be incredible and has one of my favorite comedic moments in the game (and this game has a lot of them).

I understand you are at Pt 13 going Pt 14 at the time of this posting, so far I haven’t seen or heard any Comments you mentioned about tips for Tifa in particular to raise stagger % to 400% or higher by activating Unbridaled Strength twice in a row using 2 ATBs for Rise and Fall then repeat between True Strike and Whirlwind Uppercut. Bonus tip: at the end of the stagger finish off with Divekick while Tifa in the aerial Uppercut animation. @Kastaclysm Hope this helps!

So for the "snap" missions with the scenic spots, u can technically save the picture with the share/screenshot button like u normally would for other ps5 games onto ur hard drive. I know, the game doesn't really mention that clearly for some reason. Basically u can just open and close the photo menu, and the game registers that as completed

The "Snaps" side stuff is just a way to show new players that the game has a photo mode and teaches them how to access it. I think it's just assumed that players know how to use their console to take screenshots 😂

The dolphin is in fact in the original 😋 I finished the story yesterday after about 90h of gameplay. There were a couple of quests and other late game side stuff that I skipped, so there is still more in store. I'm very keen to see your take as the story progresses, but no spoilers from my side 🤫

2:28:00 as discussed between Rufus and the hooded man known as Glenn Lodbrok, the viceroy and a section of Wutai's government has conspired with Shinra to manufacture this conflict. We dont know for certain but based on this information and Rufus acknowledging it, it is safe to believe there is a group in Wutai that is stoking fears and hate the same way the former President was. Firing the cannon is giving the Viceroy exactly what he wants. When Rufus said he wanted to alter the deal between Shinra and Wutai by stating a new vision was required, Glenn asked when he was going to learn.. The politicians are playing mental Queen's Blood...

When it comes to Side Quests have a look on the quest tab in your menu and you will see one of the party members face next to the side quest, if you have that character in your party for said quest, your bond level for that character will have a large increase :)

Don`t worry about the performance. You get another video, and a trophy if you get 100k, but the video you got with Roche is fun to. I tried like 12 times before I got 100k, it is very hard. It is a bit easier to get it if you have all 3 hard, like you had, because you get more points on hard.

Heya Maggie, The FF series is always a fun one to explore. 10 is one of the better ones but in my opinion, 8 & 9 are stronger story-wise, character development and mechanics. 😄

If you are interested in the other Final Fantasy's, I want to Highlight the older games as well 🙂 We all like some more than others, because they always tried to create something new. You may see already the big difference between the universes of FF16 and FF7, and FF10 is stylewise in no comparison to both. But what made Final Fantasy great was the story. They knew how to work with limited Material and how to tell stories. In my opinion, Final Fantasy 5 was and is amazing, it can still stand next to FF12, 15 or 16 in it's quality, and that although it was for the Gameboy. So since you said that you loved both that much, I recommend to you to give the others a shot as well, Pre-PS2 too 👍🏻

I have to say that I'm not to fond of the relationship system in this game. In my case I've loved Aerith ever since I played the original in the late 90's, so of course I want to raise our relationship as much as possible. But when you do quests like the one with the condor it raises your relationship with Tifa even of you don't want it. It also makes me don't want to use Tifa in battle. And if the game forces me to use her, I definitely don't want to use synergy moves with her because that raises the relationship as well. Tifa fans probably feel the same way but the other way around.

FFX is great but if you love the Junon and Kalm style architecture, Final Fantasy IX is also super good and cute too :) And Mr. Dolphin was my favourite part of the OG :)

Presumably SOLDIER is something you qualify for if your standard military training demonstrates and aptitude for dealing with the Mako treatments. You don't turn up at HQ and ask to be in SOLDIER.

By the time the soldiers have col buster swords and their own costuming it's because they raised to the rank of SOLIDER First Class. They start as basic soldiers first.
