They played this live today in Warsaw. Magnificent song live. I had great time. Amazing band delivering this quality of metal at age of 50. The only sad moment was when Nick asked how many people was born after 95 (Draconian Times was main theme of concert) and only up to 10% hands showed up. @Oleg Eisler I mean who confuses the classic goth rock era (80s/90s) with these heavy riffs? Of course there's a middle ground but this is clearly goth metal. And if we take into account that the rest of the album has a lot of doom/doom-death features then it's pretty obvious what's going on here and where these vibes are coming from..

"Tragic idol" sounded kinda the same as "Faith divides us" but then there's "the plague within"... Something different and original. "Medusa" ehh.. Not bad either but not as good as "The plague within". And now this... So far only 2 songs but this one sounds actually refreshing and new + original. I guess it's just a matter of taste then cause to me almost all of their albums are original.

Since "Lost Paradise", more than 30 years ago, I felt in love for this band. It was a neverending passion since that moment. I emerged on gothic aestetics because of "Gothic"... I passed my youth with the help of "Icon" and "Draconian". I've entered in my adulthood with "One Second"... And I allways felt that, worst or better, Paradise Lost weren't capable of writing a bad song or a bad album. They reinvented themselves over and over again, with "Paradise Lost", with "Tragic Idol", to reborn anothe time from their darkest and doomy days with the last three albums, to never die again... This album closes a circle in which they mix youth and adult music like never before... Now I know that, even older and older, I allways have this band close to me... It's a neverending fire!
