Paralympic Marathon dream is over - PROCESSING DISAPPOINTMENT is painful.

It has been a tough week.
Disappointed not to be selected to compete at the Paralympic marathon in Paris this September. I have the high performance standard but selection comes down to how many slots the World Para Athletics give Ireland.
The WPA have given Ireland 4 female slots for athletics. I have been told had they been given 6 slots then I would have been put forward to the board for selection.
Also dealing with alot of eye pain this week so ended up in eye casualty today.
Dealing with loss in a variety of forms can be upsetting and frustrating.
Trying to stay smiling and have hope for a better week next week.
