Agreed. When Paramore started out, I was already forty-two years old. Obviously, theirs was not the kind of music I'm used to listening to, but I noticed a lot of potential. Then I saw the clip of 'Brick, By Boring Brick' and this was the first song I really liked. Haley released a solo album about two years ago that I enjoyed a lot. 'This Is Why' is a very good album. I hope they continue this trend and that their fans understand and continue to enjoy their music.

@@jennielopez382 well, in 2017 things started really changing, they been dating since circa 2018 (they were a couple for sure at parahoy 2018). but we know also from hayley's solo albums & her interviews that they broke up at some point, hayley said she had tried to sabotage 'best thing', then she had to work very hard on herself & her relationship with love cuz of childhood trauma & her relationship with ch*d. in 2019 they were recording songs like pure love, sugar on the rim, crystal clear after they got back together for good :) nevertheless now they seem in a good place, and personally, i couldn’t be happier for them. they deserve everything

Lyrics: What was the moment? It’s hard to say I’m sure I don’t remember anyway Before I only knew to hesitate Pin back in the grenade And all the ways I’d keep you safe I keep you safe From me And, oh my love, I lied to you But I never needed to Oh my love, I lied to you But you always knew the truth I got too good at fighting chemicals And dodging arrows I was asking for Wading through the fog, and then it disappeared Naked when I’m here And why should I deny what’s all at once so crystal clear? (And why should I deny what’s all at once so crystal clear?) And, oh my love, I lied to you But I never needed to Oh my love, I lied to you But you always knew the truth Love is not an easy thing to admit But I’m not ashamed of it Love is not a weakening If you feel it rushing in Don’t be ashamed of it Love is not an easy thing to admit But I’m not ashamed of it Love is not a weakening If you feel it rushing in Don’t be ashamed of it And, oh my love, I lied to you But I never needed to Oh my love, I lied to you But you always knew the truth And, oh my love, I lied to you But I never needed to Oh my love, I lied to you But you always knew the truth

Only 3 days after this album came out, I lost my uncle to liver cancer. I had been listening to the album while he was at the hospital. I didn't get the chance to visit him at the hospital, but I was the one who drove him there with my father. I'm pretty sure everyone said to him he would get better, but I'm also sure he knew the truth, that is he was slowly dying. I simply cannot listen to this song without thinking of him and how nice of a person he was. I do hope he is in a better place now, Although we didn't got along that much, he was always very special to me, and I keep him dearly in my heart.

I know they’re so private about their relationship (as they have every right to be) but it makes me so excited when they acknowledge it 😂 Liar is a great track, it’s definitely a sister song to crystal clear if they have any inclination to play it live one day 👀 Hayley’s voice is angelic, the drums and guitar are impeccable. Every song is an experience on this album. I think most paramore songs are experiences though. ❤

Sweet Alabama Jesus, this is so ethereal. Literally like, I can't explain it in words. The same can be said about the rest of This Is Why. I should write my thesis about this album.

Ah a most clever rhythmic puzzle that is the second verse! I got lost in the syncopation, and eventually found myself again. Thank you for making music for the mind and more importantly, soul

I can relate to this song in many ways. When you get deeply hurt you are afraid to love again, you are afraid of opening your heart to someone else. Sometimes, you close yourself so much that you don't even realize that you have feelings for the other person. Sometimes, they know before you realize or accept it. At the same time, accepting your feelings for someone else can make you feel so fragile that is scary, but if you find the right person, that feeling can become the sweetest of happiness.
