Wow life and adulthood has been so overwhelming lately, but when I listen to this song, I am reminded that it is a universal feeling we all experience. Ain’t it fun to all be on this journey together? If you are reading this, I am sending you all the love and positive vibes - and I hope you conclude your days with a smile on your face.

Ive met her once, I couldn’t believe it was her for real! She’s so nice, (she came at the restaurant i was working for in Brooklyn NYC) I offered her a dessert and left her a note “thank you for the music i love you” she actually saved that piece of paper in her phone case and i saw it months after in one of her selfies in front of the mirror , she still had it ❤️

I love how sarcastic this song is. Like it’s so uptempo and sounds like a nice happy song about growing up and wanting to be an adult. Until you actually grow up and realize that this song is actually talking about how much reality hits hard and the world is such a hard place to handle and you wish you were a kid again... *sigh*

I lost my mom in 2020 I remember playing this song in car with her. She looked at me and laughed she said “pay attention, this is the real world, I won’t be here forever” I cried so hard when I heard this song after she passed cause I can still her smug smiling face looking at me and her words echoing in the back of my head, I had to pull over to “get my shit together and get my ass in gear” as she would always say. I love this song and I love my mom. RIP 🕊

Rephrase: They've always been rock.Just because 1D or 5SOS has guitar and drums doesn't make them a strong form of the genre. They sound like Pop Teen Rock which is really diluted. Paramore entertains the mass and keeps the sound. They're still POP PUNK. They started that way.

These commenter are crazy, this is by far the best song on Paramore's new album, and the best song they've ever done for that matter. The lyrics are satirical, the entire song is catchy, and it's different than most generic 'pop songs'. I don't even consider this pop, I just consider it Paramore's own genre, really. The ending is compelling with the choir, the build up, and Hayley's awesome vocals. I hope they do more songs like this on their next album! Hayley can pretty much do anything at this point. The video is pretty cute too, it's great to see Hayley dancing to the rhythm.

***** I don't think my copy has "Escape Route" on it, I don't recognize that track, now I have to go back and find it! You're correct, music is subjective, and it's just my opinion that this song is their best, but that's mainly my excitement speaking. Their best in terms of what? Catchiness, satire, depth, vocal ability. I think their best in terms of instrumentation would probably be Part II or Future, and Future is reminiscent of Deftones or Tool for me, as far as being progressive. Very cool! It's really sad and depressing that people just listen to the radio singles for every band, I find myself asking everyone "Well...have you heard the entire album? Then, you don't really know"...Christina Aguilera, for instance. Surely a pop singer, right? Well her Back to Basics album had serious soul, gospel and jazz elements to it, but with a modern twist. You're absolutely right, two people in the pop genre will not sound exactly the same, so who cares if they are categorized in such a broad term? Does anyone even know what the term pop means anymore? It's not a negative thing, we should just be glad the artists we love continue to make music. If we decide we don't like an entire album after giving it a chance, we can move on to new artists or just keep an open mind. It's so simple, I hate seeing so many band haters on youtube, whining about "selling out". It's called EVOLVING, there's a difference.
@OvercastGirlAKAmaura

***** Thank you! You are one of the only non-exclusive people in the comments (and by that I mean only sticking with a few genres, and being ignorant about the others). I agree with you all the way and it really bugs me how people still think that 2000's pop-punk is punk rock... Ugh. No offense at all to pop-punk, as I love that type of music as well, it just angers me a bit how people don't notice a difference. And I agree with the last line so much that I almost can't explain. It's like bands aren't allowed to do what they actually wanted to do in the first place without being hounded on for "selling out". But really, you give me a bit more hope that there's intelligent people out there. xD

the nostalgia in this song is so overwhelming. I was in 7th grade when this came out and now i’m a senior in high school. it’s like where has time gone? i’m about to be on my own in a couple of months and it’s terrifying but i’m also so exciting. just wish i could visit 2014 one more time to the good days. *why am i crying lollll

How to make Paramore sound like the old days: 1. Go to your music player. 2. Select "All We Know ids Falling" 3. Press play. 4. Accept those days are gone and move on. 5. Stop bitching and enjoy the awesome new album.

"Don't go crying to your mama coz you're on your own in the big world" Lol I remember I had a stupid fight with my mom and I decided to cut my family off and be on my own " it's time to grow I don't need these people" .. A couple of weeks later I got arrested for Assault GBH ( a fight my landlord started then she went to press charges coz she lost) . It was on a Friday so I knew I was spending the weekend in jail. And the first phone call I made was to my mama , there was no " I told you so " or anything like that she didn't ask questions she just came through for me, got me a great lawyer, flew out to be with me aaand wow .. as long as she's still alive I'll always cry to my mama!! And I was singing this song the whole weekend in those holding cells lol

This perfectly encapsulates the transition from high school to outside these days. Public school is a bubble and most people goof off only to get hit by reality afterwards, and these lyrics perfectly explain the way it is. People get complacent in their little pond world where they're protected and pay for it later

It's not only high school. It's the transition from school in general, to work. Possibly even the difference between living with your parents, and living on your own. It's basically telling you that you aren't necessarily as grown up as you think you are. And I can agree, because I can see a lot of people, supposedly mature adults and children, myself included, getting hit hard when they realise that they can't always have their cake.

Don't be too sad about it. College years is probably going to be the best years you'll ever have, I know I did. You'll meet lots of people, experience lots of things, maybe you'll find your life partner, you'll have the time of your life since you're practically an unemployed adult with all the time in the worlds, don't worry too much about grades, you'll do good as long as you'll do it step by step.
