Keep two gas cans one full the other empty, use a coffee type filter inserted into a funnel and pour the gas from the full can into the empty can and you will never need to take carb. apart to clean it again unless you just want to check it once a year--you make great video's and appear to be very smart for a young man--great flying.....
@Georgehanes-GJH1057757 жыл бұрын
We filtered gasoline into tractors or any type of fuel from a fuel can as it went into the fuel tank of the vehicle. Just used paint filters or something a little finer. Barely slowed down refueling process and it caught a lot of stuff that could have just ended up in the inline filter or carburetor.

We had this problem with fuel for our RC planes years ago. We had what we were finding in our carbs analysed and it turned out to be deteriorated filter material from the "discount" station we were buying from. Apprantly theu don't change filters as often as they should. Nothing but Chevron, Shell, and 76 since. None of these issues for 20+ years now.

Ashraf Ali probably cost a lot of money, plus there's certain laws in certain countries and obviously weight limitations to these things. I looked up the law in the UK and apparently there is non for these since it's a motor that starts on foot and lands on foot, which is quite cool. Might have to keep my eye on one of these for when I get out of my teens and get money :)

Tucker i don't know how much line you have between the fuel tank to the carb but you may want to look into a small fuel filter most of all if you are picking up "grit" in the screen that screen just saved you from having to get another carb ( worked for years on 2 stroke motors don't matter the application they are all the same) If the line it to short to run a small inline fuel filter and if you don't already a funnel with a fine filter in it will help a ton too. :)

Are there any worries about colliding with drones these days? I don't imagine you'd be able to hear them whirring over the sound of the two-stroke and you may not be able to see them. would this rip a chute or brake lines?

You know, in Alaska part of the private licensing process is learning how to land and take off on highways. Its really interesting to see a plane coming down between a couple of motor vehicles going 60 mph!

If you happened to have sprayed something near the intake such as silicone lubricant, it will form as a foamy substance when motor is running, also when flying through any form of rain. Result of high speed, super cooled air moving through a venturi being swirled into foam..

@TheMotocross4life8 жыл бұрын

@chrisloganmusic8 жыл бұрын
Actually, silly chemtrail hypotheses aside, the likely reason there was that much sediment in it is directly related to the source of the fuel. There's a reason AV fuel is different than, and handled differently from, regular automotive grade gasoline. ;-)

Great save! Since Ive been combing through your videos I noticed a few things that raise some questions for me. I believe you are running the Kestral frame, do you see any reason not to go that route or why the rhino cage would be a worthwhile upgrade? I also see you are flying a Nirvana wing rather than the velocity / blackhawk standard packaged wing. Did you decide not to buy a package deal or did you purchase the package and decide to get something else later? Any reason for this? Thanks for any info again Tucker.
@TuckerGott9 жыл бұрын
+Big Mike's Hobby Channel Thanks man! I don't see any reason to go for the rhino cage, on the 125 at least. The krestral is definitely not the most rigid cage, but it does the trick and its light. I'm flying a Scout Enduro now. I didn't get a velocity wing from the beginning, but I later upgraded to this Dudek Hadron and now a Dudek Snake. I can't really say much about the velocity wings, I flew an Elektra, but I was super new at the time.

I thought a paramotor generated lift with Bernoulli effect? But you said in this video 2:18 "As I started to get past half throttle to start climbing", that indicates that throttle is relevant to lift somehow? Can you please explain? Also, how do you descend on a paramotor? Do you change the orientation of the wing?
@TuckerGott7 жыл бұрын
+MPAII On a paramotor, throttle dictates climb. It's like a pendulum so more power increases angle of attack which creates more lift.

+Tholaran97 With training, second-hand motor and wing, you could probably get into paramotors for $3k at the lowest, but the sky is the limit. You can easily drop $5k on a motor alone.
@codboroks979 жыл бұрын
R. Powell 3k doesnt seem too bad.
@TuckerGott9 жыл бұрын
+Tholaran97 Yeah, I don't think 3k for training, motor and gear is possible. Quality training is over 2k alone. Even without training 3k would leave you with some pretty shitty gear. You definitely don't want to skimp on any of those three categories. You can get a nice used wing for around $2000 and a decent used motor from $3-5000. Quality gear will make all the difference.
@FirePilot20209 жыл бұрын
Tucker Gott Man, maybe there is a big difference in demand between there and CA, because out here one of the best and biggest schools will get you PPG "ready" for about $1000... Less if you already hold a private or better aviation rating. Impeccable safety record, and they give a discount on new gear if you order through them, but they also sell used gear through consignment. I guess in hindsight I gave a very lowball estimate, but when people ask how much something is I generally shoot for bare minimum.

if it's brownish goo in the car, it's from ethanol in gas. the gas evaporates in the bowl of the carb and leaves that behind. If I were you I'd shut the fuel off and run the motor till the carb used up it's fuel...or drain the carb every time.
@rogervoss48777 жыл бұрын
It's a pumper type carb, no bowl & better kept full of gas.
