Great insight Paul. I love the fact you show the little mistakes as well as the frustrations you can expect while learning and then see how far you've progressed. Looking forward to getting into this sport.

It's all gud fun and practice. Being honest with yourself while analyzing your performance makes for a better pilot. I like your setup.

Well done Para! That had to be a sort of lonely flight though. As long as you"re above the crowd & near the clouds, that's all you need! Us too! Most of us anyway!

Although you had to land out twice at least you'd realised before you'd got all the way home :| We've all done it, in fact I do that exact thing on my next Thursday video, doh.

Nice video as always Paul! Fail to do “Idiot Check” worked out well, it actually enhanced the video and you gained another flight to your log book 😜

Looks like the critters are getting plenty used to you & your butt fan Paul. Nice. Love the pit stop for coffee. I need to do that one of these days.

First - Sh!t, I thought this was a Tucker video. Sill a nice one. Have you sorted the off line maps on PPGps yet?

Not yet... but going on what I tried when I first got the app, and what people have told me recently, it's not difficult. When I do it, I'll put a step-by-step out.

Did you verify that you landed into the wind? Why was it fast do you think?
@PARANOOB5 жыл бұрын
I was a few degrees off on the first landing, but it was basically nil by that point, and so, a fast one. The second landing was in the right direction. (They take the sock down because people have stolen them in the past.)

Oh the final landing? Sorry, yes, it was into what little wind there was, but the fault was cutting the engine too late and low. I was trying to land on the dry bit of the field.. which I did, but it was a shitty approach. 👍🏻

Hi Paul I have a Sirocco 2 size 24. I only flew it for the first time yesterday. I did 2 flights for a total of 1:40. I also ground handled it a bit on Sunday pm. My first impression is that it is very easy to ground handle. It floats up beautifully in a gentle breeze that would leave my Roadster 2 26 sitting sulkily on the ground! I did two reverses in conditions that would have required a forward on the Roadster 2. The trimmers do indeed have a long travel! Trimmed out it is quite a reach up to the tip steering toggles. I haven’t tied in 2 d steering yet. It is lighter in roll than the Roadster 2 and feels slightly less damped in roll too, making turns feel easier. Cruising along trimmed out it seemed to respond well to weight shift steering making for relaxed cruising. I didn’t get any definitive speeds trimmed in and out but it is quite a lot faster than the Roadster. I certainly covered more ground than a normal flight on the Roadster I’ll try to get some accurate speeds for you from my Oudie 4 next time I fly. Landings were fine. I felt it dived slightly more rolling out of a turn than the Roadster. Obviously these are only my first impressions and I’m a noob to Paramotors too. Overall I’d say Safari Sagoodi! Love the videos. Stay safe Cheers Jim

Nobody on hand to make you a brew at a gliding club? Yes I know you were testing Icarus kit, but it's still plain rude. That would never happen at Black Mountains Gliding Club, Talgarth...😉
