i think the lesson if the original ending is that there are no second chances, so i think they wouldnt be time traveling anymore

+Itz Legacyy This scene suggests it more than the other scene. The other scene states: "I think we might make history" -David He's scene ALL if not, most of the footage. So he knows what's going to happen, and we can assume by his statement that he meant it a little more on the knowledgable and intelligent side. I enjoy the other ending better. It cuts out leaving a lot of questions, ending perfectly.

well i think the director meant so but there is a flaw to that : he burnt the blueprints when he came back to his birthday. Therefore he knows time travel is possible but has no mean to do so

Florent Devier if he went back to burn the blueprints then he couldn't make a time machine, and he couldn't go back and burn the blueprints... and somehow the camera survived?

I’ve watched this movie 10+ times and I’m seeing this alternate ending for the first time and I’m in love with the story possibilities. I hope I get a sequel in this lifetime.

as cool as this ending is the original one is better. The original ending suggests they actually watched the footage and are going to recreate their work knowing how it all ends and it improve on it. However, as sweet as this ending is all it does is grow upon the whole "If i had a time machine I would've used it to meet you sooner" line. That's it. It's a very sweet ending that foreshadows their relationship. But really only hints at the possible time machine.

So this right here is an alternate version or alternate beginning to the movie if you will. In the original movie he travels back to the beginning which was his seventh birthday and interacts with his father which in turn already effects the timeline exponentially then to further more effect the timeline he destroys project almanac but this is where the grandfather paradox comes into play so when he thought he destroyed the time machine he also created a new timeline with two cameras where every event he and his friends did where recorded so he then watches that tape and learns from his mistakes and tries to improve the machine but there’s always a twist with time in my opinion

From what I read when the movie was first suppose to come out under the old name it was suppose to be about the whole time machine and people wanting to take it from them. They re-did alot of scenes and deleted some and came up with a new plot under a new name.

wouldnt this mean that he didn't watch the movie of the second camera? it think this is not a alternate ending but more like a alternate beginning like when the scene happens first and then they time travel and make the mistake and then find the second camera form there on they see what they did wrong on the first time and make it better

This seems logical, considering how he's acting in this scene as if it's the first time he's experienced it. And although he doesn't know all about the entire time travel adventure yet, it makes sense that he at least has a reaction to the key chain since he's still seen the birthday footage, which was just enough to show him that key chain and make a connection.

No, because he see's the footage but hasn't experienced it, so he has never talked to jessie before, but has seen himself in the mirror and the keychain which he recognizes

The OG ending alludes to them viewing most if not all the footage. Whereas this one clearly shows them still stuck up on the birthday party. If what I think is right then this ending would still end with them recreating the machine but the OG ending suggests that's already the plan and now they just need to get jessie on board and it's go time.

plot twist (kinda): i understand from the beginning, david was actually know that he time traveled. and remember the quote that he say "the only way to fix this is to destroy everything". it actually isn't true. because if he actually destroyed it, then the machine would actually be non-existent in this entire movie. then there would be no david in the mirror. this applies to the grandfather paradox. say it like this, you wanna kill your grandfather because of how much you hated him. so if you went back to kill him, then your dad will be no more. and there is no you without your dad. that's what happened in this movie. from the beginning of the movie, he actually know that he went back again. but he kinda played it out as if he didn't time traveled before. the ending where he destroyed the time machine? it actually never happened. there is actually TWO time machines in the end. one is on his backpack and one is on the basement where his dad buried it. we never get to see the OTHER machine to be destroyed. so space-time itself just slingshot him back because he violated the grandfather paradox. he didn't destroy the machine. he destroyed the OTHER machine that he was using. so this movie was just a BIG loop and goes on and on again. but he can create different ending and different sequences. but he cant change the past. so it goes on and on again. and if he kills himself, then it would just simply loop back.

This actually seems like yet another alternate ending since David says that ambiguous line at the end. Yet it also seems like the earlier scene because he doesn't react by finishing her sentences and he reacts to her keychain as if he's only just putting those pieces together, so he hasn't seen them all on the camera yet. Actually, I just realized that part shouldn't be weird to me at all...of course he'll react to the key chain with surprise, because he's at least seen the birthday footage with him holding that key chain by this time. See how -f$cking confusing- FUN time travel is??!?!?!?!?!?!!!!

This is an alternate ending. The movie ends with them exchanging backpacks snd David making the remark that it's "going to sound crazy, but he thinks they're going to change the world." It's just a different appraoch at the ending. No need to name call when you don't even have knowledge on the alternate ending. No need to name call at all. It's childish and rude.

La verdadera verdad es está David viaja o usa la máquina por segunda bes así es por segunda ves ....????¡!! por que digo eso...!!!! por que antes de el ubo alguien que la uso primero que el y eso fue el 14 de agosto de 2025 cuando se usó por primera lo cual creo un bucle. Cómo le llaman interminable. así que lo que Ben al principio de la película es el resultado del segundo viaje y al final es el resultado del tercer viaje. Todo lo que está en medio son rellenos de que isieron como lo isieron los efectos causas y consecuencias que cometieron al estar viajando y para que todos eso termine deben de ir al origen de todo cuando usaron en la máquina del tiempo por primera ves jjj y así poder rescatar a la persona que se encuentra perdida en el tiempo ....???? ATTE: EL GUARDIÁN DEL PILAR 21 P.D. De echo si ay secuela deben de rescatar a la persona que está perdida en el tiempo y así poder reparar todo
