"I don't want to show off & do anything stupid" - wise words we should all heed :) Glad to see you guys back in sky. Lockdown weight, LOL, same here - mostly stress eating I think

As I watch this I just completed 3 100% solo flights in Baja MX. that is no Instructor (yes I had his blessing) , no other pilots to help or watch out etc.. In some ways you (is it Paul?) too have have helped me get to this point. I have always told my self if Paranoob did it then so can I. Its not all about Tucker (but him too,and Kyle, and woody, and marc and paratard to name a few ), but you do in a way that NOOBS can relate to. Keep it up bro!

I agree, I lost some "bravery" over the winter. 15 knots of wind was borderline scarey, my cobras weren't coming up overhead, and collapsed the wing with big ears "jerk" WTF? Yep not current!

Been following you since you started. Love the progression from complete noob to now. So some questions; Are you still happy with the 4 stroke choice? Is there anything you did in hindsight that was a waste of time? Is there anything you didn’t do that you wished you had? Will you be taking the Icarus challenge again? What’s the highest you’ve been? Will you be doing a super high flight? What happened to the TWSS? Has been more or less expensive than you thought it would be?

@@PARANOOB It's a ... Its a good one. ;) Seriously. Nice country to fly over and even though the terrain is relatively flat one still has to consider outs and glide ratio to fly safe and it was fun and interesting hearing you talking about both on this flight.

Welcome back, great filming. I have noticed that Giles’ footage tends to be all over the place, making me dizzy watching it as he turns his head back and forth, whereas yours is much more steady. A shame you forgot the SD card in the 360 camera, but on the bright side, it’s something to look forward to seeing in your next video. Very best wishes.
@PARANOOB4 жыл бұрын
That is a side effect of Giles being a much better and more observant pilot than me.. 😀😆
@Brian-xd2oi4 жыл бұрын
PARANOOB A side effect of Giles’ RAF days, always swivelling his head. I’m hoping to follow his example and get a peabee, but I do enjoy the basic freeedom of the paramotor. I thought his journey with the peabee was riveting viewing, same as yours. Keep safe, happy flying.

Ok, rusty noob here but first thing I noticed was you didnt build a wall when you did the reverse launch ? Might be worth picking up a second hand paragliding harness to practice reverses, lot easier without that weight on yer legs and back :) Good to see you back in the air, hopefully I will get up again soon.
@PARANOOB4 жыл бұрын
I think a wall is a good habit when in steady wind. This didn't give me the luxury. Certainly not a needed thing.. I've launched reverses from rosettes and all sorts of messes in decent breeze.
@grahamlockley44354 жыл бұрын
@@PARANOOB Yeah I know what you mean, I must admit I can get a little anal about getting the wing set sometimes when really I should just go for it :)

Heres a question for you how did you over come the fear of feeling like you will fall out out out of the sky when you look down sitting in a fabric chair I'm still waiting for that first flight I've changed to a quad now so I feel a little bit more safer but it still worries me about my first flight how do you over come yours 👍👍👍
@GolfFoxtrot224 жыл бұрын
Don't worry Paul, I did exactly the same thing with the camera. You need to increase your bump tolerance again. Last year you were hardcore.
@DougBow964 жыл бұрын
Funny how bump tolerance seems to fade with time off. Something I need to build back up again.

Hopefully i'll start flying next year, but is it worth me getting a ground handling wing now to practice do you think? or will i get bad habits ground training without an instructor
@adamthorpe14 жыл бұрын
Awesome video...as usual! Quick question...You did your training in the winter, was this intentional? I assume training in the winter is advantageous because once you finish you then have a whole summer ahead of you with the possibly of regular flying to start gaining experience? Although, I presume training in the winter can also take longer due to the weather? I've been watching Tucker for years, then discovered your good self and have been watching all your vlogs from the very start. As a fellow brit...the familiarity of your locations and videos in general have reminded me that...I really must start this journey myself very soon! Interested to know your take on the winter training? Again...awesome videos many thanks!
@PARANOOB4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! The only reason I trained through the winter was because that was when I discovered the sport. I booked training within about two weeks of watching my first Tucker video. Yes, it took longer, but yes, I came out of it with a whole summer ahead of me.
@PARANOOB4 жыл бұрын
Book training now. You'll be done in a couple of weeks (as soon as they're allowed to work again). 👍

PARANOOB just done my very first two flights last night. Nervous but i nailed it. What a rush and what an experience the first time you actually get up in the air! Great watching over some of your older videos again now that im actually in the air myself and im at that stage of my training. Lots of similarities which is very reassuring. Soon turning my attention to what i might eventually buy as my own. Again, great videos! 👌

How much did it cost you to get in to the sport, training, motor and wing all in? (Not including any upgrades you've purchased)

Just under 6k I guess, for training, motor and wing. 👍

Question, are you allowed to fly over towns? remember once that Tucker Gott mentioned your not allowed but that's in the USA.

Found you and tucker during lockdown, hoping to do my training next year. As a photographer have you thought or tried getting caa permission for arial photography at all? As a photographer myself i am thinking if i could make some money at same time, it might make it an easier sell to the wife lol.
