Good on Giles for showing safety in wearing his helmet for all motor running sequences. Please all use a helmet when the motor is started/running. Excellent first vid Paul.

Great job gentlemen very informative I feel as if I have a good direction to go looking for a 4-stroke coming off my 185 moster thanks again for putting the time in on this very thorough comparison...👍

Stop whatever I'm doing to watch this! :) Rocking that late 70's 'do dude! I've started with an OpenPPG electric which has power comparable to the Moster185 and the weight of an Atom80 (sans torque, maintenance, and smell). Been drooling for an Atom 80 or something to get flying for real. The electric is nice but the range sucks. Now I want this EOS QUATTRO or a Bailey. 2stroke noise, smell, headaches and maintenance turn me toward a 4 stroke even with the extra weight.

Greg if you check Fat paramotor guys comparison for xc flying. They are more or less the same as you take less fuel for same flying on four stroke

Nice one guys.... I was looking forward to this one, love these GY6 based motors. The higher compression ought to offer a touch more economy than the V5s (all else being equal) but might take a slice out of its lifespan... No biggie as long as its not too large a slice. It will be way too pricy for a mere mortal like me, I have the V2 with enough spares to rebuild from the crank up twice over :)

Good job guys.. perfect level of detail.. lab tests are all well and good... but real world tests make more sense. Lab test always just give u best cast. A bit like all the false claims u get on cars when they are first released. TOP VID!!! :)
@joseferrer87384 жыл бұрын
I like this test. Like you said, it's not scientific but a good comparison. I read it as slightly heavier than a Moster powered machine and comparable if not slightly more power. Eagerly awaiting a fuel consumption rate comparison. I might be more excited about this EOS Quattro than the Thor 202 now.
@WaspParamotors4 жыл бұрын
Great video guys!, thank you for the intensive work you did to bring this simple but effective test on cameras. The idea wasn't mean to compare with other engines/brands of the market, but it is far a good basic approach, at least, to provide some parameters to all those pilots who were wondering if this Eos engine was true or not. The goal now is to be 100% sure that reliability is perfect and once this last stage is confirmed ( after all beta pilots completed their flying tests) then the engine will be available to market. Thing I forgot to mention to Paul: - the Quattro logo was designed in the Uk by Paul Shotan, ( friend and Wasp Partner) and the Q drawing represents the 4 stages on a 4 stroke engine... a "piece of art" ..lol - We are working on a new Hexo frame version that can cope better with the high torque effect of this engine. Nearly there! Good landings all ;) Robert Ferrero

Not only does the phone compress the audio but so does KZbin unless you have a music account. You might be able to get an app that give a dB reading? Best video you ever posted, Paul.

Thanks for taking the time and effort to make these vidz. Its very much appreciated. I'm loving geeking out on the subject or paramotors and grateful there are talented experienced people I can learn from. I have a polini engine on mine and correctly primed, if I dont flood it etc.. its generally a one handed, over the shoulder, pretty effortless start within a pull or 2. Rarely 3 or 4....and I can feel very little in the way of compression. That may be down to the flash starter but I wondered what were the mechanics of the pull starter on each machine .. looked like a 2 hander and quite chunky compression pulls.... is it a direct to flywheel connection type thing?
@PARANOOB4 жыл бұрын
All down to the decompressor mechanism. Beyond that, I have no idea.

@PARANOOB4 жыл бұрын
I always land like that! 😆 I think it has the possibility to be a good engine, just needs finishing,and proven reliability. . The Bailey is the product of 15 years work.

That Quattro does sound sweet. It'll be interesting to see their time frame of this coming into final production now they've got a few out there for Beta testing. Sounds like it needs a long flight test for durability, like a looong flight test. Maybe a john o' groats to lands end flight test 😂

hi very well edited. because I come from a motocross background. and engines are engines.racing two strokes race engines. then the four-stroke came up in the background. and I decided to but a race four-stroke. and I am well impressed. and I am very bias. as I am round I am British and I do remember the bailey paramotor engines. very little maintenance change the oil filter.and engine oil.and just check over .when things do go wrong .it will take years. then after that. a new engine or repair.paramotors are not race engines.I already know that. paramotors are like cars.all different type of brands. makes etc.to suit the individual. thumbs up ;0). I am old school
