Hunter couldn't stay with his original family. In PA 2, the family discovered what happened and cast out Tobi. So Tobi came back and got rid of them. Katie took him, but of course she's wanted so she wasn't a good place to raise him. So he had to be adopted.

I think what they mean is that why is the demon or covenant going after Hunter when he is a baby. Why not just wait 6 years until “he is ready”?. So I guess the answer is that the demon latched into Katie to get the baby boy right away. The covenant took care of him and gave him for adaption and get him ready for a ritual

When the Dad transferred Tobi to Katie, Tobi got pissed and latched on to Katie to get rid of the family and take Hunter. He couldn't "wait" because the family became a problem.

I just assumed that the boys were switched at birth and Toby and Katy didn't realize it until they tried to put Toby in Roby and it didn't work because he's not actually a member of Katy's family.

One thing I respect the hell out of this series for is the creative ways they used the cameras to create such painful suspense. Even though its jumpscares, each movie pushes the boundaries of the found footage genre.

Marked Ones made me dizzy and gave me a headache halfway. I couldn't finish it. Cloverfield was worse, I turned that off like right when the disaster struck. They're gonna have a really hard time watching it, particularly Terah lol. May be I'll check the movie out through the picture in picture, that way it won't be much of a problem.

@@OBootneyLee The part that seals it for me was when Wyatt walked down the stairs and was talking to Tobi (the part where he was yelling that his name wasn't Hunter). There was another entity following Wyatt down the stairs. It disappeared when his dad turned the lights on. Plus, at one point you never saw Robbie again. I think it was after the bath where Wyatt nearly drowned.

23:20 I'm pretty sure Toby told Wyatt aka Hunter to yell "Mom" to distract the mother so the knife can fly up & get stuck on the wall so the demon could try and make then knife fall on one of them but failed and missed the father (I wonder if Wyatt died growing in the bathtub which allowed Toby to enter his body or if he was close to dying which access the ability to enter)

I own all 7 films on Blu-ray and a really cool thing about most of the films is that they include extra footage that didn’t make it into the films. Maybe he had to be raised by a family that was pure. It could be that because the other family was affected by the curse, that they were essentially tainted. Plus maybe he had to be raised with the pure sacrifice. I don't remember if that was supposed to be the sister or if it was hunter himself. But I feel it had something to be witht he family's purity.

I like this movie. The characters here are very likeable. Only downside is that the overarching plot starts to get a bit convoluted. The demon already had the kid. Why give him away to another family? Still, it’s a fun installment. Can’t wait for the next one!

I feel like because Katie was wanted for the murders and taking Hunter, she wasn't able to keep him with her until it was his time to "transform". I'm assuming he was put up for adoption by the coven with the intent of retrieving him when he turned 6 and was ready for Toby.

Thank you!! Even for the sake of general safety. She wouldn't have been able to wake up in case of a fire or other emergency. Plus, there are safer sleep aids and other ways to induce sleep that are far less harsh. For a 15 year old especially.

The ritual needs an innocent to be sacrificed. If Hunter was raised in the cult, he wouldn't be seen as innocent. Robbie is just another cult members child. And Katie said he looked like his mother when they met here in the house. Edit: Nah, im with the dad about the sleeping pills. Giving your child drugs without consent just because you don't want to deal with them is insane. Especially since we KNOW there is a demon, and her being asleep puts her in more danger.

For me this is where the story starts to become convoluted and starts to fall apart in making sense to me. I have always had the same question as Andrew, why not leave Hunter with his family? I do still like the films from this one on, but I do feel like the story starts to suffer to the need to expand the franchise and get more money.

10:14 yh kinects do that, also i saw a video of the kinect xbox one, switching views and in a video while switching u can see a shadow in the background, when the guy notices it and turns, the shadow moves away like it got caught 😱 (Editing note, just found it on utube if anyone intersted. under the name - UNEXPLAINED | Ghost Footage Captured Weird Shadow Person?
