Did you see any exotic tropical fruit elsewhere in Darwin?
@reallifefuntopia82732 жыл бұрын
Rapid Creek was the only decent fruit market. I have a video tour of it on this channel.

So are you saying that the Plumeria (Frangipani) plant can't grow in Melbourne ? We grow it at our location which is in the Newcastle area in New South Wales but they do drop their leaves at winter time & they grow back in late spring to early summer, it seems to be the case because they are deciduous at my location. We (my dad & I) have the pink plumeria & I also have the white variety growing,my great auntie & uncle took some cuttings a few years ago & they have planted them where they live in the Riverina district at Griffith in New South Wales. My grandparents on my dads side had a white plumeria plant growing in front of their old bedroom near Mullumbimby in New South Wales which was recently hit with a big flood. According to Shamus O'Leary at Arizona, their natural climate of origin is like Darwins (tropical savanna) so they don't come from Hawaii like some people think, they come from somewhere in Mexico !

It can be grown in Melbourne in perfect conditions and with some luck. I've seen two growing around town but I've never had success with it. Like papaya, wet feet kills it.
