Theres a guy I ran into several times on xbox. He only ran on the factory level with the smelter building. He booby trapped all invader spawn points and stayed in the same spot. Everytime someone invaded, they'd die. If they accept a rety, the traps would reset.

I’ve been playing Axis Invasion now for the past few hours, and he’s right, this mode is very addictive, mainly when you kill the player. There’s just a rush of excitement when you either snipe the enemy, or wait in ambush and get them when they think they’re safe. The mode is definitely enjoyable, but is definitely catered more towards those who have played the Sniper Elite series, as anyone unfamiliar would find themselves woefully unprepared for what they should be doing.

I like it but I just feel Karl has too many advantages , the listen more telling you were the jaer is being able to use the phone instantly and 2 times without it spotting him like the jaer does , co op ( co op listen mode is so broken ) also the difficulty and settings being tailored to the host makes the mode vary so much

​@@pieprincess5778It definitely nerfs you but since you're on the 'enemy' side I'd say it's fair. Your advantage is that you're surrounded by friendlies :P Honestly it just makes it more satisfying when you manage to kill the Ally sniper/s.

Very much enjoy playing co-op, and operating as a spotter + sniper pair when the Jäger arrives. Totally understand the sentiment 'every game feels unique' too. With invasions on, the level gets that added excitement from time to time. Rematches with a skillful player are also a great way to learn, for when you want to switch back to being the Jäger too

Just started playing invasion today, 8 kills, but I got humbled a lot more. Came to watch some videos for tips and see others play and yours was best by far, I subbed towards end of video and then heard the Goldeneye music and knew I'd made the right decision 😂

Celebrating 300+ dead Karls with the Sniper Jäger! I think part of why this series' gotten a lot of mileage is how you generally try to take things slow, and narrate your thought process as you try to track down the enemy sniper. Having a calm and jovial disposition at all times, even when you've been outsmarted and bested, helps matters too. (Also the fact that a sizable number of opponents you're up against at least know what they're doing; seems like a good amount of Axis Invasion videos on KZbin are little more than long montages of dunking on people who don't even know which end of their rifle the bullet comes out of.) Have you considered playing as the the opposition for a video, playing the campaign with Axis Invasions turned on and taking all comers?

I got 0 kills as an invader, and 864 kills against invaders. I love getting invaded, the cat and mouse, who can catch the other off guard first, who will slip up first, can I set up traps in advance from being invaded to give myself the edge? This is a great one and I am excited for the eventual release of the next one!

What's nice about the dark souls style multiplayer, in this, is that even when you have multiple people it doesn't feel completely out of your favour. Although I wish the X-ray vision wasn't a thing.

Thanks for the laughs yet again! I really enjoy your vids good sir. One suggestion for a future vid - maybe you could try invasion on authentic difficulty? I recently finished SE5 on authentic, went back to SE4 and did the same and I gotta say the games' aren't half as good on lower difficulties. Sure they're nice to have for people new to the series but anyone enjoying these should definitely try the harder modes. Stripping away all the crutches makes it much more immersive and tense.

Yeah third person is always an issue with pvp games, and this game has the camera approximately 3 lightyears away from the player so it's extremely easy to peek corners. If this same concept was done but with forced first person, it would be chefs kiss

A possible solution to third-person peeking would be greying out the field of vision that the character can't see and excluding the ability to see characters (NPCs, players) within this zone, though preserving being able to see objects that are being moved and effects.

@@Dorraj I have no idea, but it's possible that it was already implemented somewhere. It's not a crazy idea, and arguably you could say such a feature has already been a staple in other genres of games as the "fog of war". Another implementation, and the one I'm referencing to the most in my head, is in the topdown game SS13. SS13 is not just one game, but some of the communities that broadly stay within the same concept do implement a line-of-sight system through this cone of vision you project wherever your character is pointing to, to limit situational awareness in the topdown format that the game is. I'm not sure why it hasn't become popular if a game already implemented it, you'd figure it would be the "spark" to push at least the modding communities in milsim games to try it.

I find it difficult to find players in axis invasion sometimes. I wish they made it to where you could play this in offline mode and the Ai allied sniper just moved from objective to objective in a random order each time. Infinite replayability if this was a reality and you could also up the difficulty for the allied sniper. That would be a blast to play when there aren’t people playing with axis invader enabled.

There are two flare guns in Secret Weapons. One is in the bunker like @thecreativeminimalist described. Another one is in the tank area. It is in front of the main gate.

"Blow up the barrel," did you know that the invader cannot blow up explosives? I tried on Spy Academy, two co-opers were right next to an explosive barrel, I shot it and... Nothing happened. I think only the campaign player bullets can "ignite" the explosive ordenance.
