Hi Queen of Hearts. I apologize. I'm am seeing your comment for the first time. This is Donna, Greg's wife. I hope that since the time you wrote you found some support. Feeling alone is the worst feeling of all. Being a single mom is a huge job. We've decided that for the remainder of Greg's career we will dedicate most of our time to helping parents. It's that important. We have several resources that you might be interested in. I'll list them in this response. Many of them are free. And I wish we could offer everything free but we have a streamed parenting training where only the first chapter is free. However, the first chapter is the most important one, and it's not a trick to get you to purchase something. It includes the answer. You can stop there, do what it suggests, (have your kids watch it with you, over and over -- it's just 1.5 hours) and you'll eliminate the behaviors that you mention above. There's a single common denominator to all those disrespectful behaviors, and Greg will teach them to you, and tell you how to deal with them. If you involve your kids, then they'll know you're not just changing things because you want to, for you. No. You're working a plan. You're teaching them now so the world won't need to teach them, and the world does not love them. The world can be brutal. You're doing them a favor. @@RealLoveCompany dearest Donna, it has been 1year since I left the original comment. Things have gotten worse. She stuck her earring in the electric pencil sharpener. Brand new destroyed it in 1week. My child has absolutely no respect for her personal items. I am a single mom every single dime counts and I feel resentful when I make a sacrifice to buy her something she needs and she maliciously or unintentionally ends up destroying it by using it outside of its intended purpose. This is a MAJOR theme it is pushing me away from my daughter. I value my things. Even as a child when my mother bought me a doll I CHERISHED IT AND TOOK CARE OF IT. My daughter pops the arms off. I’m getting angry, and I’m struggling it hasn’t gotten better at all. She ruins nearly everything I buy by mistreating it. I am constantly on a hamster wheel of assessing what she needs buying it and rebuying it. New Tablet: 6weeks STEPPED ON IT broke it completely. Complaining about the meals I get up in the morning to make for her school lunch. I don’t want to do this anymore. It’s hurting me ALL OF IT

You right. Everyone is not the same, but when parents "love and teach" their children (with all their own personalities and gifts) it ALWAYS helps. Always. Expressed anger never helps.
