The Everly Brothers song Cathy's Clown is a favorite of mine. Another duo is Jan & Dean from the same music era but their music was more similar to the Beach Boys than The Everly Brothers. If you want to go country try anything by The Judds, a mother and daughter duo or listen to a little known duo called Joey & Rory. Joey & Rory's song Cheater Cheater is great and it's funny too. Unfortunately, Rory is now solo since his wife Joey passed away from cancer about 6 years ago.

In 2015 "Rolling stone Magazine" ranked the top 20 duos of all time and The Everly Brothers came in #1. They had many hits and were a big influence on many artists that came later such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones & Bob Dylan to name a few. They started practicing singing together with their guitars when they were young boys and became so polished that when they went to the studio to record a song it would require just one take!

Best harmonizing duo ever. Actual brothers. Don, on the right, was about 23. Phil, on the left, was 21. Don sung lead. Phil sang harmony. Phil died in 2014 or 15. Don just died in September. Extremely talented.

I think if you had continued on with that video, you would have heard "Cathy's Clown" which was another big hit of theirs.

Why did you not play the rest of the video? You missed their second song, Cathy's Clown.

Their hair is beautiful here, BUT, back THEN a man didn't use hairspray. So other methods were used. It makes me think of a comedian who had said that you could always tell if they were televangelists because their hair always looked like a bad toupee! All that hair on the front, I'd surmise.... No....I never even thought of them resembling televangelists.
