Another disturbing and beautifully read story. I was listening, alone in the house, rain lashing against the windows while repairing and painting and old wardrobe in a bedroom. Couldn’t bring myself to look at the mirror over the fireplace. I had to run downstairs to the kitchen to recover. Brilliant!

Wow; what a deeply moving tale! Loved it. The dream of skating was so well done - I was there with him on the ice. The sound effects worked so beautifully, but even reading it from transcript without, it was so vivid and real to me. Grand job, Jasper. Deserves more likes. ❤❤❤

It’s a very fine story, it could have been written by EF Benson or Walter de La Mare, it’s that good.I wonder was it a pen name? The writer was very talented and it’s beautifully written.

I really enjoyed this story. So, all those years he harbored that guilt. Within that one sentence of what I said, you really must listen to this story you will enjoy it as much as I have. Then you will be giving the advice of telling someone else to listen to this story, as I have. Another brilliant narration! I know I've said it before, but you really do have the perfect voice for this sort of narration; have you thought about approaching Audible with a sample of some of your narration? You're quite as good as any of their narrators, and frankly better than most of them. :) As a side note, isn't it interesting how many characters in ghost stories attend Cambridge? It doesn't matter who the author is, Cambridge always seems to be the university of choice...( I guess between the two, ghosts seem to prefer Cambridge to Oxford when choosing their haunting recipients :)

I've not kept a tally, but you could be on to something. This is a Cambridge one, so is 'By One, By Two and By Three'. But Randalls Round I just did was Oxford. That was a primordial bull monster though, not a ghost... I'm going to be hyper aware of this from now on...😂
