Same with the ultramarine that died, seeing him dodge the shot and get cover was an actual blink and you’ll miss it moment, usually space marines are so dumbed down in in animation for the observation of the viewer it’s strange seeing them move like they should

They are scared because civilians only hear myths and legends about the emps angels. Most people forget that sacred texts on individual legions are basically non-existant for civilians, and its even more incredibly rare for a civi to ever see one. Not to mention he could kill all of them with a literal finger flick to the head lol

Sup? A tiny preamble here: I stay normally far away from VTuber and auto skip their videos, but it seems taking a chance with you was worth it :). I enjoyed your warhammer commentary and joined your subscribers :). Hope your channel wont get destroyed again. Cheers I don't play tabletop, but am a big fan of the necron lore. I can highly recommend the recent necron books/audiobooks, they are fun :). Especially "The Infinite and The Divine" Its fun seeing Trezyn and Orikan messing with each other :).

Well, I thank you for that. I for the most part know chaos and Imperium lore very well, but not most of the Xenos. I have a few armies on the tabletop, and as a hobbyist I am more a model/tabletop guy over lore. Though I of course enjoy the lore a lot. Personally, my favorite factions are Imperial Guard followed by Iron Warriors.

@@Aru_Raven My favourites are in this order: Necron, Death Korps of Krieg (not the whole guard only their stuff), Black Templar, Carcharodons. Ofc I know a lot of general lore about all factions, because you can't avoid it if you want to have a complete picture of a war :). Another of my fav book series is: Gaunt's Ghosts. I also own a pile of shame and don't have 1 model finished, but I'm also not in a hurry, since I couldn't play even if want to^^. Maybe the doom scythe gets completed optimistically in 2025 xD (currently half built and painted).

Tbh "most" Space Marine chapters would care about the civilians, so it's not just the Salamanders who are nice with them. They're just the nicest out there among the Chapters.

Hardly. most marines don't care for humans at all. Marines have been known to test their aim or knife skills on civilians, to be almost as bad as the enemy. Example; Salamanders are the only chapter that's known for being nice, but there are many MANY more that known for being brutal, cruel and callous. The Minotaurs, the Carcharodons, the Flesh Tearers, Marines Malevolent, Blood Drinkers.. the list goes on! There are heaps of marine chapters that are just known for being villainous! and that's not even counting more 'normal' marine chapters being horrible, Dark angels abandoning worlds because they think they saw a traitor Dark angel, Blood angels loosing their minds to the black rage, Black templars being frothing fanatics and more. The reason that Salamanders are nice to humans is that that is part of their chapter flaw. From a marine perspective that's a drawback, a hindrance. There are no good guys in 40k. The simple fact is that most marines do not care for humans, they only care about themselves and their idea of 'honour'.

@@helline9 I disagree with some of the things you said: in the Dark Angels trilogy, you have Sammael ordering the Dark Angel detachment to stand down, because their intervention would've destabilized the entire region, all while pursuing leads about the Fallen. One of the themes of the book is about balancing their duties as Space Marines against the hidden pursuit of the Fallen. Characters like Asmodai (it's always him, I swear) are more than ready to leave planets and wars behind, others like Azrael are more careful and reluctant to do so right away. This will hopefully change now that the Lion is back. His return in his latest book was phenomenal, dude really went out of his way to help a small tribe of primitive humans. It was either the same book or the next one, not sure which, with a grounded Ravenwing biker discovering a starving family of heretics (per Imperial standards). He doesn't kill them but sternly asks them some questions before leaving them alive and unharmed. He later reports their position to his superior and he's ordered to leave them be. Blood Angels also seem to care about people, though the Black Rage and the Red Thirst, if they lost control, leads them to...well, butcher them without pity. Ultramarines are also pretty nice. The Space Wolves also care enough about civilian people to have started the whole small smirkishes with the Inquisition and the Grey Knights. There are Chapters that treat them nicely, but the Salamanders go out of their way to treat them even more nicely. As far as the Marines Malevolent and the others...? I wholeheartedly agree with you there!

Most of the time with other Marine Chapters it comes down to the individual Marine's personal attitude towards "Mortals". Take the Space Wolves for example, for the most part they're a bit rough and tough with civilians, some out right look down on them and think only the strong have the right to survive, but there are others within the chapter who think the opposite and can be quite chummy with Mortals that catch their interest.

Just to note, it is edited down. Idk how copy right strike happy GW is, but I had my channel terminated a few weeks ago and had to fight to get it back. So I don't want to go through that again. I try to edit it so it still makes sense when watching, but it's mostly my reactions so I can say it's fair use. Otherwise, do enjoy!

A lot of the time, you're speaking over important dialog. Either put on subtitles or pause it when talking. Also, you don't have to cut out parts of the episode.

I've already had an issues with my channel being terminated over a reaction video. Idk how copyright happy GW is, but I don't want to go through that again. So, I edit it to make sense and be watchable, but this is still a reaction video, hence most of it will be edited. Me just uploading the Episode would not fall under fair use, so I am not going to risk my channel for that. It took two weeks to get my channel back the last time I ran into issues with KZbin terms of service, so I will try to prevent them from having anything they can use against me. Sorry about that, but any reaction video I do will be edited on this channel. I will thought take that Idea of subtitles though, that is a good idea.
