Lovely video Macenna. As I live in Ireland, I've been to Paris a few times - my favourite city. Please don't put yourself down with regard to your accent, which is pretty good, I saw no problems with your pronunciation. I have very basic French myself but my niece speaks fluent French and was a translator for a number of years, I believe she would give you a thumbs up! French people also appreciate the fact that you make an effort to speak their language. Enjoy it all!

I'm absolutely delighted for you that the apartment you stayed in was available! It was fate - definitely meant to be. Some might say you were lucky, but I don't think so. I think it's more like the universe rewarding you for all the enthusiasm for life and positivity you project into the world. Just a quiet little nod of appreciation. At least I like to think that! Three nicer and more agreeable people don't exist in one spot on YT! I love "your" fireplace, too. It's stunning. But my favorite spot is the table with the blue and white bowl with lemons and I adore the portrait of the woman above it. And THEN you lit the two candles on the table and *swoon*!! You take the fireplace and that exquisite mirror and I'll take the table and bowl and portrait. 😂 You all look so relaxed and like you're truly enjoying yourself, but your mother looks just a bit tired from not being able to sleep on the plane. I'm with her - I can't either - and that's a looong time to be awake. I can't wait to see the next vlog - I bet she's rested up and ready for trouble! 😄

Bonjour Macenna, just want to give you an update regarding the Palais Royal. The colomn black and white you saw are a piece of art , a sculpture from Mr Daniel Buren in 1986 . They are made in marble black and white and called " les colonnes de Buren" . Voilà.

I had a French foreign exchange student live with me for four months. I loved her accent. It’s nice when I go to France because she zips me all over with such ease. I tried to learn French too and then Covid hit and my classes were cancelled. I need in person lessons. My instructor was so fun. He was a real Francophile.

Ugh this is amazingggggg thank you for sharing!!! My husband and I went to the south of France (Nice, Avignon, Lyon and then Paris) for our honeymoon while I was 13 weeks pregnant with our first. We ended our trip in Paris and I recognized the Marais in your video and it took me right back. We stayed at an INSANE apartment through One Fine Stay and wow. 10/10 experience. If you ever go back you should check it out it’s actually unreal lol I can’t wait to see what else you pick up while on the trip!!! The painting and sunnies were 👌🏽 love. Sending love!!! ♥️

I have a Terra Cotta living and dining room, our room has north and west windows so from 4 to 6-7 its bathed in light and the disco balls on the Christmas tree sends sparkles all around, I wasn't thinking about the very old triptych I was having remounted but its like I did, cause its 3 biblical scenes in warm colours.

Le Pain Quotidien or Daily Bread in English, love them for a quick coffee and daily du pain. The food in Paris is like no other wishing I was there now we have to plan a trip soon! Have fun and enjoy the atmosphere just watch out for pick pockets they usually congregate around tourist sites.
