You can buy refurbished Dyson's from the company for about 1/2 what they cost new. With a warranty. There wasn't a mark on our V11. Looked brand new.

Home Depot sells solid plywood cabinets to exactly the sizes you need. We chose painted doors on solid maple for uppers, and spice stained solid cherry lower doors. Everything came already constructed, and is lovely. We selected a modest brand, through HD, and the sturdiness is still there, and our light grey satin upper doors are really nice. Best wishes!

Not sure if anyone else mentioned it but there are plugs ikea sells to fill the holes that bother you that way you can still change the height of the shelf if you want at a later date. Made a HUGE difference in my PAX closet system I was surprised at how much.

Vacuum hint** clean out the canister every time you are done- we did not do that at first and now we cannot not get the "doggie" smell out of the vacuum at all .... but that vacuum is the best!!!!! Plus i love your laundry room - a comfy mattress laid over the top and I could live in there !!!

Put some baking soda in your canister. It absorbs odors. Just a thought.

@@me4getz called my Elderly neighbor and she said, "Go through the steps Peggy. Clean the filters. Clean the hoses. Take it to the garage and use the air hose on it. You might have something stuck somewhere that is stinking. " She is a wealth of knowledge. She also suggested putting a scent you like in the canister, cinnamon, dried oranges, ground coffee. Run it with the scent in it and clean it immediately. My thought is if this doesn't work essential oils. I hope one of these ideas helps. You could also heat water and add baking soda, bring to a boil. Turn off the heat, remove from the source and put the canister in. I would let it cool abit before though, so as the canister does not lose its shape. Can't have the solution be worse then the problem.

@@peggykelliher5698 did all of that EXCEPT for the scent - I wasn't sure if that would void the warranty - I sent an email to Dyson to ask - but not reply yet. That was definitely my next step. OOOOOOOO I just had an idea. THANK YOU Peggy .... I will cut some fresh lavender leaves; place in a tea bag and put in the canister and then vacuum .... i will let you know how that works.

Love my Dyson! It picks up so much more than my old vacuum. I don't think the problem is the weight, it's the hand hold area gets uncomfortable. 🤔 Have given Hello Fresh a try...really like it! It definitely saves me time and money. Just a side note tho...the free shipping is only on the 1st box!!! Wish they made that clearer. Lastly, when you were decorating your shelves, I was thinking a cute little plant (greenery of some sort) would look beautiful where you put your IKEA lamp? Just a thought. One of the things I love about your channel is how different the styles are between the cottage in Texas and your LA apartment. It will be great to see you use your decorator's eye in putting rooms and pieces together in the cottage. Also, I really loved watching you decide on the layout of your bookshelves. Just as an FYI on the Dyson: keep it on the auto mode otherwise you’ll burn through the motor faster; constant usage of the higher speed stresses out the motor. Other than that, it’s awesome!

It is just so relaxing and soothing to watch you going through the whole process of thinking and decorating. Also I want to say a big Thank You. Because of you and all the videos I've watched over the past year on all of your channels, I got the courage to tackle my first diy project in my own home. I had some old banisters with awful orange stain and cheap golden metal hooks. I transformed them into super elegant expresso Brown stained with matt black metal hooks. Gosh they are just gorgeous and it's all thanks to you and your videos showing how a woman can do so many things. I went to Home Depot today and I realized how confident I am walking into the store now because I know so many things. So thank you and keep up the good work. On the house in Texas please show everything how you restore!!!
