"Bright Mississippi" is a typically angular tune written by Thelonious Monk - [Renee Rosnes is very partial to Monk's tunes] - and it was included as a track on New Orleans pianist-composer Allen Toussaint's 2009 album "The Bright Mississippi" on Nonesuch records.
