As a European who’s not French, I would say that Emily is very boisterous in both fashion and speech. I personally didn’t manage to appreciate her, as her visage is just what most of youtube fashion and lifestyle already is. Mawena, on the other hand, left such a profound and cozy impression on me that I am still speechless. I don’t relate to the content of her purse, but her energy is so magnetic. What an absolute star!
@dadolopez-perez1511Ай бұрын
It’s great that Mawena resonated with you, as everyone connects differently with creators. Emily brings her own unique energy and bold style that many appreciate. Diversity in content means there’s something for everyone - and that’s what makes this space so dynamic.” #stoptrolling
@Micsq4lvАй бұрын
Policing perspective in the name of diversity is not only flagrantly entitled, but incredibly hypocritical. If you’re only for ‘opt in’ culture, you sacrifice the beauty of nuance, and more empathy than you’d think. I’ll add that including and defending white American women isn’t exactly groundbreaking. This person isn’t trolling - she didn’t invalidate the American … you on the other hand, are invalidating another person. If there is space for everyone…then there is space for all viewpoints.
@Micsq4lvАй бұрын
@dinjolins totally agree. I think it’s an obvious difference in culture and communication style. A large capitalist country where one has to ‘influence’ to form any success renders one more often than not, loud and entitled…probably without even considering how they are received by other cultures. What I love about this series is discovering the unexpected things people carry…the more personal side of things. So I agree the others were more illuminating in that way.
@tangerinetangerine4400Ай бұрын
Paris is full of non parisians. People from around the world who move to Paris and live and work there. To present Paris without including that wouldn't be very realistic. People watch old french movies and expect it to be real. I loved Emily because she's living the dream. She moved to Paris, married a french man, and now she lives and works there. She made it work and she is still being herself. That's a brave woman!
@dadolopez-perez1511Ай бұрын
Your argument assumes that all perspectives deserve a platform, but it overlooks that some perspectives perpetuate harmful and oppressive dynamics. Defending this under the guise of ‘nuance’ or ‘empathy’ ignores the real impacts on marginalized communities. If respecting boundaries and lived experiences is ‘hypocritical’ to you, perhaps it’s worth reflecting on where your priorities lie when it comes to justice and equity.”

Emily is an American but she's pronouncing some English words with weird accent, rolling her tongue like she's French trying to speak English. It makes her sound like she's trying too hard to present some type of persona. I mean I speak two languages too and live outside of my native country for many years so these kind of things stand out to me. But I do like Emily's style. Eva and Mawena were really cool.
@dadolopez-perez151126 күн бұрын
Hi there, It’s disappointing to see this kind of critique in the comments. Emily is sharing a fun, personal video, and the focus should be on her creativity, kindness, and style-not on dissecting her accent or manner of speaking. Living abroad naturally influences how people speak, and accents often evolve organically over time. Instead of assuming she’s “trying too hard,” perhaps consider the effort it takes to share a piece of herself with the world. She’s authentic and relatable, which is why so many of us love her content. Let’s keep the conversation positive and focus on the things we enjoy about her videos, like her amazing style and kind personality. There’s no need to undermine that with unnecessary criticism. 🤷🏻♂️
